Yeah we drove just about every vehicle in the class.
- CX9
- Grand cherokee overland - Awesome all around and was our #2 pick. Sales guy threw a killer deal our way. It was a coin toss between it and the Mazda. CX9 styling was the deciding factor.
- GMC Acadia Denali - Good all around but the wood trim felt like plastic and it felt big despite being relatively light and small vs the competition
- Honda Pilot Elite - Good reviews but just amazingly boring inside. I'm sure it's a really great SUV but with a 3 year lease, engineering longeivety is no longer a deciding factor for us
- Acura MDX - Really great vehicle but huge price gap between base model and AWD model with the tech package
- Lexus RX - The hybrid was nice but we didn't dig the front end styling
- Volvo XC90 and XC60 - 60 was too small and XC90 has electrical issues and problems with it's touch-only infotainment and controls
- Jaguar F-Pace - Best looking SUV we looked at by a mile but lacking on features vs the rest of them in that price bracket. They had the landrover discovery as well and it was also really nice looking but barebones when it comes to options. BRB heated seats not standard - $1500 upgrade cost for that.
- Highlander Limited Platinum- Good features and proven reilability/popularity but it looked cheap on the outside and felt boring on the inside. Doesn't LOOK like a $50k vehicle.
- Hyundai Santa Fe Limited Ultimate - Amazing feature set for the price but interior material quality felt underwhelming vs most of the others. Handling didn't feel very responsive either.
- Audi Q7 - we had to have the engine rebuilt on our 2010 A4 not once but twice and it still leaked/burned oil. Transmission was a pile of garbage that died a slow death as we told the dealership multiple times it was not acting right. They said it was normal and sent us off and when it finally quit working (couldn't accelerate from a stop as 1st gear clutch was gone) they gave us ZERO help and tried to charge us $5000 for a new transmission despite us telling them repeatedly it was messing up back when the car was still under warranty. First and last Audi we'll ever own.
The BMW X5 would have been another option but it would have meant dealing with the same Audi dealership.
My biggest gripe with the luxury brands is that you can get the entry level model for a pretty good price but they are stripped to the bone. You either get a fully loaded vehicle from mazda, jeep, honda, GMC, etc or you get the most basic poverty features from the X5, Q7, Jag, Lexus and Landrover. To get similar features costs an average of 8 or 9 thousand dollars on top of the base cost of those. I think finding a 1 year old certified preowed model with the features you want that's already taken that initial depreciation hit is the way to go if you want one of those luxury models.Sig line can't be a novel

Time to get on dat dere cable management time.
I run my consoles through an elgato HD60 capture card in my PC so havin to reach back behind the comptuer and fiddle with swapping HDMI cables is a pain.
I tried to go with various colors to differentiate between the different consoles and am going to run them all into this splitter and then send a main output signal out of the El Gato into an HDMI input on my receiver to send to the sound system and TV
PS4 - blue
Xbox - Green
Wii U - Black
PS3 (aka the demons souls box) - Red

I highly recommend the Apple AirPods to iPhone brahs. Absolutely sick. I was skeptical about them, but tried them out and bought them immediately.
The way they connect, ease of connecting between Apple devices, range, sound, etc. I had wireless headphones for the gym, but these are truly wireless. Never fall out my ears (YMMV) even when I'm head-banging during deads.
Worth every penny, in my opinion.lilliiilliiliilliililliil

^matty you might have swayed me to purchase them then. I was on the fence but didn't know anyone who actually tried them out.

that's the problem, they're hard as hell to get. I tried them on at an Apple Store and was lucky enough for a shipment to come in as soon I tried them on. I was able to snag a pair, but the rest were gone in 3 minutes. It was absurd.
I'd recommend trying them on at an Apple Store if there is one near you. If you like them, just order them online from Apple's online store. You want to try them on first to make sure they fit well in your ears and are comfortable.
The ones they have for demo are cleaned and sealed, so you don't have to worry about trying on some other person's ears.lilliiilliiliilliililliil

- only 5 or so hours of playback. Which isn't bad, but might be annoying to some. Although, the charging case charges them up to 80% in 15 minutes, which is cool.
- Kinda pricey, but pretty comparable to most quality BT headphones
- They take some getting used to in terms of aesthetics, but are very unique. You'll get used to the look quickly.
- I wouldn't want to drop the charging case down any cement stairs, hahalilliiilliiliilliililliil

Old bluetooth head phones might be on their last leg. Anyone recommend some good water resistant ones? (No apple earsticks, they are kind of cool though)
