William Crum, 68, was arrested late Monday afternoon and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with a crash Saturday on Tin Top Highway, District Attorney Rob Christian said early Monday evening.

The crash involved a car that swerved across the center line and struck a motorcycle, injuring the driver and passenger as they fell to the pavement. Christian said that each charge against Crum, if convicted, carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.

The motorcycle passenger, Debra Simpson of Granbury, was moved Monday from the ICU to a regular room at Harris Methodist Hospital. She has serious arm and leg injuries, but is listed in stable condition, according to her boyfriend Eric Sanders of Granbury. Sanders, the driver of the motorcycle, was treated at Harris for road burn, lacerations and abrasions.

agreed, obviously they contributed to the situation. But I hate it when general population tries to control traffic with their vehicles.

Imagine the mentality of someone like that for a second. You see a rider in your mirror and you're annoyed so you swerve your vehicle into him, not caring of he dies.

I always legit admire the restraint of people who film these vids. Even if I knew I would get in trouble I don't think I could stay calm with scum like that.

The cops turned up, but did not arrest the old guy despite the video evidence but apparently he will be prosecuted.

If it appears I advocated the old dudes behavior, that was an error. I am blaming him. He took positive action to inflict harm on another person. The bikers were simply being dumb.

Why do people on the misc hate on riders for? Yes they are not wearing protective gear and yes they attempted to over take on the double lines but there is no excuse to run someone off the road ever. How does it hurt you if somone overtakes you on a motorcycle?
