Yeah, I was laid off back in 2011 from a company I was with for 12 years and since then I have increased my salary by over 60% since then. I was so underpaid. Getting laid off was the best thing that ever happened to me.

In other news, it is my little girls 10th Birthday today. I am just not prepared. Only working till one today, and my weekend is pretty packed. Which is both a good and a bad thing. It will be good to disengage from work...I'm pretty burnt out...but being around friends pretty much all weekend will be a good thing, even though all I want to do it bury my head in my pillows.

I stepped up my diet game about 18 months ago and one of the decisions I made was to just not eat any of the junk food the guys bring into work. All the chips, cake, sweets etc. add up after a while.

Asian girls are the worst culprits, they always bring in tasty treats and then offer them around everyone. My whiteboi genetics can't take all that chocolate.

I know that feel. I've had to ditch a few temporarily. Especially in the summer I'm super busy doing ****, and this year I've chosen golf as my focus. Haven't fished much at all, as much as I love it, haven't been practicing pool, riding my bike, or hiking much, and have done almost no photography. Have to say though when you make the conscious decision to leave some things alone for the sake of others, it doesn't hurt as much not to do them.
