all these terrible side view pics or videos "prove" is that a lot of lifters who aren't trained referees have very little idea of where the rulebook is actually telling the referees to look. Even when there's a clear side view picture (like Frankdaddy's) I've had people say anything from "basically parallel" to "skyhigh 6-8 inches".

Here's the pic of the second attempt: https://scontent.fsnc1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...g=eyJpIjoibCJ9
Bad view, but high. Anyone want to Arian dot method it?
Edit: actually, that looks like 357.5kg on the bar, so that would be his first attempt, which was the deepest.

yeah, why would anyone do Westerns? you don't have to until next year to get to Nats. too bad it won't be official if she makes it. why didn't she go to Commonwealths where she could have set it for real?
<3 I've been saying this for like a year and everyone laughs at me
apparently classic bench worlds is now a thing, approved at the meeting in Luxembourg. I'm still waiting for deadlift only.training log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=153696161&page=51

After seeing a hard workout you may want to complain and want others to pity you for the work you have to do. Your mom will pity you. Your girl will pity you. I may pity you, but your competition will not pity you. They will step on you, walk over you and spit on you. Boris Sheiko

Anyone have a line on Black Friday gear this year? I haven't gotten anything but CFF's usual plethora and am hopeful to score a good SSB style bar or something this year.

Anyone have experience with dry needling? It's been mentioned to me a couple times as something to help get rid of this huge chunk of scar tissue sitting on my pec, but I'm skeptical. Also, I hate needles. Is it BS or can it actually help with something like that?

Not sure if it does anything for scar tissue or not but I had very good experience with dry needling.
I dislocated my shoulder really badly a couple years ago, like just over 3 years ago (right before I started lifting), and during the rehab my PT asked if I'd be down to try that so I said sure, and each session went from pretty limited range of motion to having more and more right away. It definitely helped with ROM purposes, not so much with stability or anything like that. That was more on my part doing little things like pullaparts etc.
If it is the right solution to your problem it will probably work but like I said idk if it's the right thing for scar tissue or not. Your PT should hopefully know though lol.YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/NorthStrongSC

Tom Martin hit a massive 890kg total in his first gpc comp at 100kg (1962 / 220)
the video is on his ********, while the kid certainly isn't weak he definitely gets an F- for the plate selection on his best lifts
