Petr Petras is looking super strong right now. Haven't seen anything from him in years since that big total in like 2012 or something but he is really coming back strong...
445kg squat here.

I started with a "regular fit" super cent, i.e. two sizes up from the tightest fit (competition size). I'd say it's worked out pretty well. I got it tightened a little bit once before my first meet then got it significantly tightened before my second. Couple guys I know who got into gear around the same time have done the same thing and it's worked out fine for them too.
Agreed with ARoth, bench shirt took me longer to learn and I'm still not even close to being very proficient in it. If you already have access to an F6 or Fury I'd start with that otherwise if buying new maybe a regular katana.
NorthStrong what size suit did you try? I saw your vid on yt, looked a little tight lol. For reference I started with a 46 super cent at about 6'1" 225. I've had it taken in to where the legs are probably around the 40-42 size and straps around 42.

A bit lazy to multi quote but thanks for the info everyone, really looking forward to getting a suit and a shirt and giving it a try. I'll definitely be going F6 for shirt, a bit torn between a spartan or a super cent for the suit. Is the price difference worth it for the super cent in terms of longevity?Training log:

They'll both last a while the thing is the spartan is a great suit for beginner but it won't be long until you want to jump in the super cent. So to skip having to buy both just go with the super cent.
Also not sure what shipping to canada looks like but there's a few things for sale in the USAPL Gear swap group on FB.***Georgia Crew***

Strained my right side oblique doing who the hell knows what. Can't squat or pull at all without some form of discomfort. Going to go to the gym and see if I can find any machines that I can use pain free. Worst possible timing, my ER style rack was just finished and is due to ship this week, and I was just about to start a new training cycle.

What kind of a Titan suit would be comparable to an Inzer Hardcore? Superior / Spartan?

Is it best to get used to equipped lifting one suit/pies at a time??
I'm trying to get wraps down first. Making sure I'm not overthinking it as it seems even with squat suits you have to learn it piece by piece (straps down/straps up)

I'm 5'10, 229 in that video, and that suit is a 42.
I just took some measurements too. My legs are 28.5" and my hips at the biggest point are 45".
I think the hips on that suit are just a lot too small for mine.
For my first suit, even if I end up with like a Centurion, I would still like it to be loose enough so I can get it on and off by myself easily enough, which should also make it a bit easier to learn.
For anyone that knows - the only difference between a Katana and Super Katana is just the thickness of the material right? Same as the Cent / Super Cent?
After getting good with my F6, would it make sense to get a Katana, then an SK, or just jump to the SK?
Also I noticed that Blaine was using an SK for a long time then just switched to a regular Katana at the Arnold where he hit his 885. Kinda weird.YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/NorthStrongSC

I can take some measurements tonight if you want a basis for comparison but if you're looking for an easier to get on and use suit I'd go with the 46. Can always get it tightened.
Katana/SK/LCC SK have the same material but the collar is different. Regular Katana doesn't have a reinforced collar. SK has the reinforced collar, and the LCC has a lower cut reinforced collar that's sewn into the seam at the start of the sleeve. Super cent/cent are same material but super cent has an extra seam built into the hips (308/Judge correct me if I'm wrong on any of this).
Pretty sure Dan said Blaine switched to the regular katana because he was having issues touching in the LCC SK.

Meh I did wraps once, I think for a single set of 4-5 at 315, before I started in the suit. I'd say just get a suit and wear the wraps every time you're in the suit, incrementally tightening them each workout as you get used to it. I think I also did one workout straps down then the rest with straps. Granted I started with looser straps but it still made a difference.

Again, get on the usapl gear swap group on fb. Also search around on powerliftingwatch.
On fb there's a rageX and a super katana for $75 that would fit you.

Pretty interesting thing I just noticed, looking at the IPF Raw Worlds videos and their views.
Both the 83kg and 120kg+ class have about 40 000 views, whereas the rest of them are like anywhere from 5000 - 20 000.
This means that head to head competition and large men are the best to watch. Waow who'd have thought lol.
Also, anyone have any thougts on ESM and the World Strongman Deadlift Champs this weekend?
Shaw just explained in a recent video that you don't get to pick your attempts at all, and it's a rising bar starting at 400kg, jumping to 420kg, to 440kg, to 465kg for a new WR. After the 465 it's a massive ****ing jump up to 500kg.
Basically I think Benni, Eddie, and Jerry Pritchett will all pull 465, Thor and Loz and Big Tel might be able to pull 440 but I can't see them going higher than that.
For the actual strongman contest the next day I'd probably put my money on Thor.YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/NorthStrongSC

honestly I'd like to see a 480 pull as well tbh, doubt we'll see a 35kg all-time record breaker

I think Eddie will be the only one to get 465 and then won't attempt 500
It would be awesome to see 3 1k+ pulls thoughTraining log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165829701

Eddie will attempt 500kg even if he failed 300kg.
He's hyped up 500kg a lot and everyone wants to see it happen. I really doubt he can pull 500kg but I'm pretty certain he will attempt it even if 465kg is a massive grind. The viewers want it. He quit his job and has put a lot of time into advertising and marketing himself so he is basically forced to attempt it.
ESM will be awesome. I should really go one year.202.5/135/245. Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165241801.
