hows everyone been?

Wow dude I haven't seen you around here in years. How's it going?

Competed over the weekend and ended up going 672 with wraps 408 and 683 for 1763@275 (271). I had bad anxiety the night before and literally only slept for 2 hours. No idea how i did as decent as i did. I'm 12/12 for squats in my last 4 meets with prs on 2nd and 3rd attempts in all 4 meets. Wanted to pull over 700 but got called on some technicality on my 683 attempt so figured I'd redo it on my 3rd and save the total rather than ruin my day

Lol that's because I haven't been lifting. Since Nationals in May, I've done nothing. On Saturday, I benched for the 1st time and only did like 209 lbs for triples. And on Monday, I squatted for the 1st time and only did 275 for a triple.

It seems to me like a full time coaching career would be detrimental to ones own lifting. It must be hard to stay consistent with traveling and what not.

It seems to me like a full time coaching career would be detrimental to ones own lifting. It must be hard to stay consistent with traveling and what not.

The traveling definitely makes it hard to stay consistent with training. And being a lifter and a coach can be difficult to do as they're basically on the opposite ends as far as the sacrifices you need to make. But there are plenty of coaches who still get their training in. I'm just being lazy, so it's not a legit excuse. I had a good gig at a crossfit gym 2 mins away from me which I had the key to and trained there for free, but they sold their place to another owner in February. So I've been too lazy to find a new place and to pay money, until I started looking a couple weeks ago.

I wash my rehbands and wrist wraps in cold water cycle and hang dry whenever they start smelling bad. Never had an issue

I soak my sleeves in water for maybe a minute or two and air dry at least once every 2 weeks. Usually toss them in the shower. Takes almost no effort. Had the same pair for 3+ years and they don't smell.
