Strength shop belts are flimsy and cheap as fuk feeling. You can get inzers from Germany as well, inzer de or Hantell Hartman

They're just fuking annoying, can never get my right wrist done properly. Thought about having my THPs modified to have the thumb loop on the proper side but probably couldn't use them in the IPF if I did.

SBD wraps are right/left. But it's really not a big deal once you get used to it. On your right hand grab the thumb loop between your thumb and your palm and start the wrap on the outside of your hand. Once you're done wrapping pull the loop to the outside. No biggie. At this point I wouldn't want right/left wraps because I don't want to have to think about which is which as I'm getting ready to go on the platform.

I can never get as many revs on myself than someone else can do on me, or than I can get on someone else. It's even worse in a suit since it's hard to lean over your knee and get enough leverage.

I can see it being more of an issue in a suit. I have no one else to wrap my knees anyway. I can usually get like 8-11 out of a 2.5m so it's doing at least something probably.

Have a pair of sbds as well but they're too stiff, prefer the stretchiness of the thps. Just a pain in the ass to get a decent wrap going the wrong way

I'm really looking forward to hammering some training after this meet and fix all my weaknesses slowly. Especially getting on some grip work.

i love those signature gold wrist wraps. Ive had them for over a year but still look like new. Where as my Titaniums were already beat up after a few months

I prefer longer meets myself. Had my first fast meet (like 3 hours probably) in december but wasnt used to it. Had to rush trough warm ups, ate too much and felt like crap. My focus is just way better when i can relax after each lift for a bit. You definitely need to change your nutrition on meet day.

yea same for me. Having a cheap double prong belt now and i quite like it. It is still tolerated in national competition this year but that might change next year and thinking about taking an international meet possibly next year.

THP's have a more cotton like softer feel and the Golds are harder more synthetic.

Its kind of hard to explain but from what i have felt are the THP's easier to stretch out at first but you reach a deadpoint where you cant stretch them out any further. Where the golds are stiffer and harder to stretch but you can eventualy stretch them out further without reaching the deadpoint.

Also the golds material doesnt fray (not sure if its the good word, but google translate) due to the velcro and the THP's do.

most people always plan on an 8+ hour meet. You're lucky to already know it's only 4 hours. Just eat a big breakfast and very light snacking through the meet. 4 hours isn't long basically a long workout so I personally wouldn't do much sitting around

we have 2 hour weigh ins and the meet is ran by Priscilla Ribic and Larry Maile, so they do things well. Thanks for the heads up on things. My main concern was nutrition and rest times obviously. Think I'll be fine.

If there are only two flights in your session start warming up for the next lift as soon as one finishes. If you're used to having 4-5 flights there's plenty of time to warm up. If there are two flights you might only have 30 minutes.

Not much different really. I usually eat before squats, but not too much. I stuff my face right after the 3rd squat until I have to warmup for bench. Then before deadlifts I'll eat very little because being bloated = bad deadlift. I also sip gatorade throughout the day.

Axel deads along with doh and aiming to get doh pr's

If not I'd do weighted dead holds 1-2x a week

Coached a master 1 lifter from my gym today at his second meet (bombed first due to not taking advice so removed that option from him this time) weighed in at 66 so 67.5 class 175 squat 110 bench and 220 dead had more on squat and dead but can save for nationalist

Have to admit handling is actually pretty fun

How not to open at your first geared meet:

Like really, I hit the rack and tried to rotate around it?

Thankfully the rest of the meet went better:

^^ Nice job! Pretty solid bench man. What squat suit are you wearing?

I couldn't really tell what happened on your first squat. Did the plates on your left side hit the rack somehow?

3 flights. I'll sit around, eat a snack, and start warming up after 30 minutes of relaxation probably. Thanks bud.

Edit:@Martin_mathers thanks, ya I'll stick to the same plan just not sure what to expect from little recovery time and not being able to eat a full meal after benching, usually wait for 2.5 hours between lifts.

    Thanks every body.

Also drama on Massthetics ******** page someone pointed me to. Massthetics (kinda entertaining if you don't mind gay play) they asked for any footage of USAPL meets where they feel they got a bad call and they are gonna compile stuff I'm sure. Alex Kang was tagged and called out and they started challenging each other and talkin **** and lolololol
