With the amount of frequency I've been doing, I've been getting some wicked lower back pumps/tightness/feeling of general discomfort. I have been slacking on direct ab work as of lately, so besides adding more of that in, does anyone have any other recommendations in order to alleviate the feeling of iron cables being twisted to a point of splitting where my spinal erectors are?

Ditto all those, plus psoas.

OP: If lacrosse ball directly on erectors (followed by stretching) doesn't work, try going further afield. Something will work eventually. Or, consider session with an ART chiro.

paul carter's recent blog post hating on IIFYM.. jesus. like ther are some valid criticisms of how some people utilize it. But he uses horrible analogies that make him look like a fuking retard. no shock there from that piece of chit though.

no shock from a guy who thinks he's a better powerlifter than DLT despite getting out totalled a weightclass down.

So it wasn't the DMS it turns out, but happened to be hosted at Duffin's gym which is why I mixed it up.

I'll be doing the DMS in like a week though and can report back on it then.

Hey guys, I have this really weird problem with my bench. Ever since September my bench numbers and form has really improved and I owe it all to lat engagement. But a month ago, I went into my session without feeling anything in my lats. Numbers have dropped and weights that used to feel easy, isn't anymore. I've tried different lat engagement exercises before benching and nothing at all.

Can you guys help me out? I have noticed an improvement in my flexibility but with that came with hyperextending my lower back. I've been very conscious of it but at times still feel pressure. Could that be the reason?

short version - Finally solved my low bar problem. Impulse bought CrossFit Lite TRs are ****ing perfect for me. Form, depth, feel. Yeeeess. Just played with 315 for 10 to test them late in the workout. Don't like them/high tops for sumo but I still did a decent looking top set considering they felt like slippery ****.

Love me some high bar but I'm a stronger low bar squatter. This is why it is frustrating that my high bar stays tight and pretty at all loads but my low bar is traditionally ****ty later in rep sets and under high loads. Gave up on low bar first because of strength losses, second time because depth issues, and last time because I suck in Adipowers low bar at top weights. These new shoes are gold. So pumped.
