The top 50% of people in a 50/50 win. So unlike in tournaments/league/gpp/etc games where you have to put out a GREAT lineup to win - if you put out a good LU chances are you'll cash. It's low risk/low reward.
Let's say you when you first start out, you hang out in the $1 range 50/50s. You enter a $1 50/50 with 100 entries. If you place in the top 50 - you'll win $1.80. Obviously not big profit, but if you enter 10 of these contests with the same lineup - you're walking away with $8 in profit. Or enter 10 $3 50/50's and walk away with $24 profit (you win $5.40 each $3 50/50).
More you put in - more money. If you do the research - it is incredibly easy to consistently cash in the 50/50's.

Sounds like you either have no understanding of what this thread is about, or you're just arguing an entirely different point.
The system makes zero sense and entirely IS rigged if people on the inside have access to information no one else has. Your argument would fall jsut as flat on it's face the same as someone arguing that insider trading is NBD because people CAN still make money on stocks.
It doesn't change that those companies are about to have gigantic lawsuits.Originally Posted by RogerSterling i workout for my health, dont feel the need to eat if i'm not hungry since i still get plenty of puss being the weight i am now.

No I've been working and haven't read up on the major details of this thing, and I def haven't read this whole thread.
From what I've gathered - this guy at draftkings would look at the lineups all the best winners on draftkings were using, and then use that information to build lineups on Fanduel & win?
Yeah, that's bull**** & grimey as fukk. The point I'm arguing is that DFS isn't a scam, and it's rather easy to keep a steady profit going. THat's what I assumed you were calling him out on.
and as for the lawsuits - it's very possible that they may be forced to offer a refund to ANY entrants in pretty much every contest that guy entered since he started doing this. Major, major problem if that happens.*Cam Newton Crew*

No.
He would have access to the ownership percentages of each player from the entire GPP pool. He could use this data on FD, since ownership % are identical and with this information, have huge advantage over the entire field. Believe me, this is a huge advantage. Very big advantage. Out of the pool of hundreds of players, you can weed out most of them simply by using this information. This coupled with even mediocre projections, lineup optimization tools iterating over 100 or so lineups. You are basically priming yourself for a big pay day, statistically (which is evident by the *******'s winnings which seemed to be happening out of the blue).
To a person who knows how to use this information...it's a goldmine. A true definition of a scumbag cheat. I sincerely hope they get sued to bankruptcy. It's now a 100% certainty that DFS will be regulated within a year.*United States Space Force Vet*

The more I read - the more this seems likely. I'm clearing out almost all of my DK account tonight.
What do you mean regulated? I sincerely hope it doesn't get shut down, because I genuinely fukking love playing DFS and the best time of the year is less than a month away (NBA is by far the easiest sport in DFS IMO).
I've literally been using MLB/NFL cautiously just to build my account enough to go big for NBA season. Fukk this ******* for possibly ruining it for everyone. Hope he goes bankrupt and is thrown in jail.*Cam Newton Crew*

Think of what poker is right now.
No...I said Yahoo not displaying the ownership % after THE LOCK is meaningless. What a way to misrepresent what I was saying. I never ever ever said that knowing the ownership % beforehand is meaningless, only after the lock it's pretty much useless unless you are a fan of anxiety.*United States Space Force Vet*

A million bucks says draft kings and fan duel planned this for all the market. 350k for marketing sounds like a great deal.

lmao.
at least it stopped the draftkings commercials polluting espn and all other sports channels. wonder if they'll still have their "expert" fantasy girl come on and do her picks for the week.
but yeah, if you're just looking to slowly build up a bankroll, 50/50s are the easiest. you just have to beat out 50% of other users, and it doesn't matter if you come in first or the last person in the winnings as you'll get the same amount.
i am curious for dfs brahs, both here and the players on dk / fd: are you withdrawing most of your money right now? moving to Yahoo or another site?

Not hard to do, script can be built in less than an hour. These guys that are employees of DFS sites write code. They code for a living (Matthew Boccio also manages the pricing model and database). Ethan can code as well.
ALSO STRONG PHUCKING MATH on all these guys that say 'well its harmless info', its not big of a deal info, etc...
That data regarding Player ownership is PHUCKING HUGE advantage. Not to mention what other insider info that wasn't leaked that they probably had info on. Data on the Top 50 players/'Sharp' picks % owned (sleepers % included) ? You can easily take into account what the majority of the top 50 players choose and add that to your sheet and crunch out some players/values.
It's not a big deal to these morons on this thread that have ZERO understanding of game theory behind Guaranteed Prize Pool and mathematics.
One example:
-Match top % owned players
-Generate dozens/hundreds of lineups (can be optimized using their own projections) but add in players that have high ceiling and are low % owned add to the lineup.
-Have enough lineups and there will be little variance because using the top % model. (The generated lineups will always match up with the top 100 people due to knowing owned %)
Think of it as knowing the first few numbers of the lottery and adding in a bunch of numbers at the end to try to match a ticket. (Sorry cant think of a better analogy). You will hit all the time if the majority of the players are right on their picks because you will be sharing the same players, but as to your advantage, you will have added in extra guys that may produce well, thus beating out everyone.
Finish hard in the paint almost everytime.always rape back crew

Me and my gf made an account just for fun, glad I read this thread before putting too much $$$ into it... might still give the 50/50's a shot, we've finished in the top half every single time, but usually just under the cut for $$$... this bubble will burst soon, I love the insanely corrupt story of every major league commissioner lobbying to somehow not constitute this as gambling, the "skill" involved is no different from poker
