I can see your point. But it doesn't necessarily work like that.
To give you an example, Zidane of his prime could walk into any football team of the current era, and you could argue we have better scientific knowledge and methods of training footballers in current times. That's not a knock on current midfielders, it's a testament to how great Zidane was.
Same with Wheeler.

Is there a "dumbest thread ever" contest going on that I wasn't aware of?
We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.
You can't stop us. You can't hold us back.
IFBB brahs über alles.

You know this is the exact reason i quit posting here for so long.....Everybody is either a smart ass or has something negative to say.....For years this board rocked we had a good time talking and chatting about things.....but now everyone has to be funny if you do not like my topic or thread dont read dont post simple as that.....this use to be a fun community to be in but now everyone wants to try and be funny or rude or just down right mean....i just got in into lifting in the mid 90's when these guys were kings and i just wanted to hear others thoughts on bodybuilding and what the think the pros compared to today...just cause its a dumb thread to you doesnt mean it is to all *******

Flex's best probably cant beat Phil's best. However, 90s was a more competitive era with better bodybuilders.
if he thinks its a dumb thread, let him say it. It is not some extremely toxic/derogatory word. Flex is one of the greatest boybuilders of all time. I can use a picture of Ramy to say that he would also do great in the 90s. It all depends on the name.Grainy hardcore religious slabs of thick dense muscle. So grainy that it hurts your eyes
