Official UFC 192 thread. So...predictions?
Gustafsson - Cormier
I really don't know what to predict here. I see DC coming out aggressive and putting pressure early on Gustafsson. Gustafsson said he can fight going backwards, but imo I'm not sure how it will work out. Gustafsson will definitely have advantage on feet. He has the best striking currently in LHW. I guess he won't be throwing too many kicks against such an experienced wrestler as Cormier. Now from what I've seen in JJ vs Gus, Gus has outstanding TDD. Hell..if he could take JJ down, I bet he could do the same to DC. I guess if DC manages to take Gus down it's going to be his fight, if not it's going to be the other way.
All this said, I have Cormier winning.
Hendricks - Woodley
Style wise, two very similiar fighters. As we all know Tyrone is a physical beast. He carries a lot of muscle, so he has the most chance in first two rounds. I see him coming out very agressive and explosive. If fight goes in later rounds I see Hendricks taking it, even if his cardio isn't the best either. Also, both of these fighters have one punch knock-out power. It could finish anytime.
I give it to Hendricks tho.
Evans, Magomedov, don't give a f about eye vs pena...
Benavidez and Yair on preliminary lmao
Also interested in Sage Northcutt's first fight in UFC.

This.
inb4 'omg fake belt waaaaaaah wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh' 'omg not the real champ durka derrrrrrr'
DC vs Gus for the REAL LHW BELT is such a breath of fresh air for that division.
Some of the bigger fights actually do have potential to be boring due to a lot of strong wrestlers, but at the same time there is too much potential for some epic **** to happen. A lot of the non-title fights on this card are also very related to the title pictures. Gonna be siiiick.. unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to watch it live, though. My life feels like a never ending journey of fighting morons.. every single day.

Taken from mmafighting.com:
HOUSTON -- Johny Hendricks vs. Tyron Woodley is off UFC 192.
According to Hendricks' manager Ted Ehrhardt, Hendricks suffered a blockage in his intestine last night while cutting weight, as well as a kidney stone. He was rushed to the emergency room and had to be given an IV. UFC president Dana White announced via Twitter Friday morning that Hendricks-Woodley was off due to "Hendricks weight cut issues."
The welterweight contender fight was scheduled to be the co-main event of tomorrow's UFC 192 card.My life feels like a never ending journey of fighting morons.. every single day.

Well, there should be an asterisk next to that. DC just lost to the champ and only got has the belt now because Jones is in love with the coco. It's definitely a paper belt and DC is a paper champ.
Also lol at the Hendricks fight. UFC cards can never go through as planned.*Sit there and don't know what to do when people sing happy birthday to me crew*

doubt it.
The welterweight contender fight was scheduled to be the co-main event of tomorrow's UFC 192 card. As a result, Joseph Benavidez vs. Ali Bagautinov has been moved to the main card.
"I'm frustrated, obviously," Woodley told MMAFighting.com. "I'm always trying to look for the lesson in things and positive signs. I believe things happen for a reason.
"I'm counting this as a loss for him. You got to make the weight. I'm sitting here at weight, wired, ready to wage war and now I'm not going to get that opportunity.
"Hopefully, I'm compensated accordingly because this shouldn't be a strike against me. It's almost as if I lost if I just get show money. I could have been knocked out in the first minute and just get show money. I hope and pray I am taken care of because I had a lot of plans for that win money.
"And I shouldn't have to fight anyone else, do anything else spectacular ... nothing . I should be next for the title shot now. It's called professional mixed martial arts for a reason. There should be some level of professionalism involved."Atheist Conservative Crew

Bens a warrior, but Woodley is perhaps too big a step up from 155 for him... He just doesnt have the power to outmatch the top of that division. he struggles finishing 155ers, and Woodley is no Brandon Thatch where Ben could take advantage of his inexperience.
I do admire his willingness, but dont envy his chances in that matchup. For every man, there is a sentence, a string of words, that has the power to destroy him

I seriously hope they make Woodley fight again. He hasn't fought since JANUARY.. that's when Lawler and Condit fight for the belt. It would be a joke if they let Tyron wait that long for a title fight. They should pin him against someone on the same UFC 195 card.
Let's be honest here, Woodley hasn't exactly done anything amazing to deserve to be able to wait that long for a title shot.My life feels like a never ending journey of fighting morons.. every single day.

I like Bader and hope he wins but lets be honest
He ain't getting no title shot even if he beats Rashad with Jones coming back.
At least give him a tune up fight but I think he should be given a title shot. I mean who else we got after Condit/Lawler that deserves one?
If Condit wins then Woodley vs Condit 2 could be huge
And if Lawler wins expect a bloodbath and we can see how much heart Woodley hasForgot to train biceps crew
