At their best it would still be kind of close but Phil wouldnt have the same kind of width and density in all poses like Dorian did.
Over the years, I always had mixed feelings about these two and how they fared. Phil's 2010 AC, 2011 and 2013. Olympia packages were pretty awesome but dorian just carried more mass and was a more dominating guy until he started declining at the last 2 years of his carrerGrainy hardcore religious slabs of thick dense muscle. So grainy that it hurts your eyes

Dorian was a guy with 23 inch calves (most pro's since have more like 15 inches), a side tricep pose where his arm/shoulder looked as wide from the side as a Shawn Ray period from the front (!), traps from the rear that looked almost unreal; like a motion photoshop and low and mid traps as dense as humanly possible, lats at their biggest girth at the lower insertion, and the first Mr O ever with a pair of thighs. He was something else. And the appearance of Dorian's muscle just looked a lot more granite and hard and powerful looking than everyone elses. You could squeeze a golf ball ball between his rock-hard compact dense pecs.
Not seen anything like him before or since, though Ronnie was freaky he was nowhere near as proportioned and complete as Yates (Ronnie's torso muscles just kind of hung down and his biceps were higher than his shoulders, glutes and stomach grossly oversized and calves grossly undersized, obliques nowhere near as clear as DY's etc).

I could see it going either way, both have their strengths and weaknesses. Dorian had the most amazing back in the history of the sport, but unfortunately his legs weren't the best. He is one of the few 90s guys whose conditioning would be on par with today's best.
2010 AC Phil or 2011 Mr.Olympia Phil vs 1993 Olympia Dorian or 1995 Olympia Dorian without the bicep tear
Pose by pose comparison
FDB-Close, could go either way imo, Dorian had a way better taper and calves, Phil has better quads and arms. Take your pick.
FLS-Dorian, even though Phil has a better lower body, Dorian's width would be too much for the current Mr.Olympia
SC-Phil hands down, lower body from the side is a little closer than from the front, but upper body isn't close
RDB-Now I know I'm going to get a lot of hate for this, but I give the nod to Phil. Why? Lower body is overall better (hams and glutes go to Phil, Dorian has him on calves), Phil's lower back is amazing, has better arms and delts. Dorian has him on back width and upper back. Close.
RLS-Dorian, his width would be too much for Phil to handle. Phil's other advantages aren't enough to catch up here.
ST-Very close, take your pick. Can go either way imo.
AT-Dorian hands down. Even though Phil has bigger quads, Dorian has a way better midsection.
MM-Phil. I don't think an explanation is needed here.
Poses are equal, as Dorian takes the FLS, RLS and AT. Phil takes the SC, RDB, MM. FDB and ST could go either way.

To be fair, their leg placements for the BDB are very different. Most 90's guys kept the legs closer together almost like the knees were falling into each other, like he's hitting it here.
Phil spreads his legs 5 feet apart when he poses because his legs are very undersized overall and he has a bigger inner thigh than anything else, which gives the illusion of larger quad/hamstring size
I think their legs would match up very well on stage, but Dorian definitely takes that pose

Huge Phil fan here, but Dorian would win in my opinion or at least go either way depending on what the judges are looking for.

Dorian, pretty convincingly I believe. Phil has an awesome physique, but the same reasons Dorian beat Flex, Shawn Ray and Levrone are the same reasons why he would beat Phil. Granted Phil brings better conditioning than they did he would still be considerably out massed, his proportion and structure wouldn't compare to Dorian and their conditioning would be about equal (if not in favour of Dorian because there seemed to be a denser look to his muscles that Phil just doesn't have).

Depends on what the judges are looking for.
If Dorian and Phil competed 10 times I think Dorian might win 6 or 7.We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.
You can't stop us. You can't hold us back.

Today means 2015.
But 2011 is far more interesting. I always considered Phil to have a top 2-3 physique ever, but looking at dorian's vid's and considering he would be bigger than phil, i am not so sure. Number 2 is definitely a close fight between 2 or 3 jays, 2 or 3 dorians and phil 2011"Kai's traps outsize him, when you compare them to the rest of his body, he's very very thick there, it makes him unbalanced." - Lee Thompson
