As any logical fan would recognize, Rodgers was severely hindered in the playoffs with a torn calf. He reinvented his game and led the packers to within seconds of a SB appearance, which is impressive in itself. Rodgers played the seahawks in seattle before the legion of boom became the legion of injuries.
Rodgers playoff stats are better than Brady's in all ways aside from SB victories. Packers have played historically better defenses and teams in the playoffs (giants, niners, seahawks) compared to anything the AFC offered.
Brady won 3 of his first 4, but has won 1 in the last 10 after becoming "the guy". How did he go from being so great to sucking so bad in the post-season by your logic? Must be dry heaving in those huddles this last decade...

Are YOU a potato? Strong putting world in my mouth. I never said the effect of losing those players were the same. I merely said that it has an effect if you lose your best weapons. Losing Nelson makes it more difficult for Rodgers. Losing Gronk would make it more difficult for Brady. That's not hard to understand. Meanwhile you try to decipher or correct something that isn't required be be either deciphered or corrected. Get a clue.

Cool. Did he put up historic numbers in those season? Did he put up numbers that's close to the what he's putting up now or what he is on pace for?
For the most part no. 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2011 were good seasons, not historic. Though in 2007 he did with 50 TDs and 8 INTs. But then again, he had a motivated Randy Moss in 2007. Top class target. This year he is on pace for those numbers, but he is playing with Gronk who will likely (i.e. no serious injuries) go down as the best TE in NFL history when it's all said and done. Again top class target. Clear pattern.
Rodgers on the other hand didn't have anyone like Moss or Gronk in his historic season in 2011 (better than Brady's 2007, but that's another discussion) and so far this year he had 10 TDs and 0 INTs to Brady's 9 TDs and 0 INTs, also without a target like Gronk or Moss. I'm more impressed with Rodgers.
All the above is irrelevant though to my first comment though, seeing I wasn't saying Rodgers is greater than Brady. That wasn't the focus. I was saying Rodgers is the better player right now, which I think he is when you take into account that Brady has a target like Gronk while Rodgers does not, yet their stats are fairly similar with 1112 yards, 72,2 comp. %, 9 TDs, 0 INTs, 119.6 rtg. for Brady and 771 yards, 73,6 comp. %, 10 TDs, 0 INTs, 135.4 rtg.

In the words of Vince Lombardi "Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing"
Rodgers is a more accurate QB than Brady. Brady has had the best Oline in football and had an amazing defense during his first 3 SBs. Both of them are amazing QBs and are able to stay calm under pressue (look at a QB like Cutler...hit him a few times and he gets all anxious/rattled and starts throwing INTs)
At this point over both careers so far I would say Brady is the better QB. At this point in time only, this season, I would say Rodgers is better.
Rodgers still has quite a few years left and could definitely become the best QB to ever play the game.
You guys can nit pick certain stats all you want but when two QBs are both so good, then you have to go to the one with the most wins. Now if Rodgers gets within 1 SB of Brady but blows him out stats wise, he will be the better QB, because just having one more doesnt make you better. Eli is not better than Rodgers or Peyton.
Life long die hard Packer fan by the way, but I can respect a great team and QB when I see one.****St. Jude/FedEx Classic Donation Thread****

Since Rodgers only Super Bowl win.
2011: Packers get smoked by the Giants in their first playoff game. The Patriots barely lose to that same team in the Super Bowl.
Advantage: GOAT
2012: Rodgers gets bodybagged by the 49ers while Brady loses to the....wait for it.......wait for it......Super Bowl champions that season who......wait for it..........wait for it.........beat the same team that body bagged Rodgers.
Advantage: GOAT
2013: Another early playoff exit for Rodgers. Meanwhile, Brady lost to the AFC Champion with an injured and depleted squad.
Advantage: GOAT
2014: Rodgers loses to the Seahawks with a minor injury and settles for FG's all game long while his defense forced four INT's. Meanwhile, Brady slayed that same Seahawks team two weeks later and became Tommy Four Rings.
Advantage: GOAT
I also love how people think individual stata aren't team accomplishments as well. Lacy, Cobb, Neslon, etc are sure trash!

Regardless of the arguing in this thread, the question was who would you take, which is an opinion. Yes, understood that Rodgers is amazing and right now, he's likely playing at a better level, but if it comes down to who I would want to lead my team, it would be Brady. And it will be Brady until he actually starts showing more significant decline in play.

holy **** man this isn't baseball, football is very role based and QB's are supposed to be leaeders on the field. Nobody is a better leader than Brady and this isn't debatable. Rodgers is 3x as talented as a QB as McNabb ever was but as leaders? Rodgers has done nothing in this league for anybody to say "thats the guy I want when the chips are down". Rodgers is the closest thing to Peyton Manning and the love he got in his prime.
lol typical fantasy football fan second guessing Bevel and Pete even though they are the only team in recent memory to go to back to back superbowls, anybody that has a problem with that call is using women logic (srs). But they needed an absolute ghost showing from Rodgers down the stretch to even get to the superbowl so thanks for that lmfaoo. Your numbers are all kinds of off so Im not even going to touch them. Lol crying about injuries to a Pats fan, just lol
4>1, cheese packing *******s hate him.
lets look at there numbers against common opponents last year:
NFC North
Brady- 3 games: 75% 8TDs 1NT 284ypg
Rodgers- 6 games: 69% 18TDS 0INTS 228.3ypg
AFC east:
Brady- 6 games 59.26% 11TDS 2ints 236.7ypg
Rodgers- 3 games 52.3% 6tds 2 ints 306.3ypg
SEATTLE:
Brady- 1 game 74% 4TDS 2INTS 328 YPG
Rodgers- 2 games 60.2% 2TDS 3INTS 183.5 YPG
Brady is a better QB than Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers might run better, throw a prettier deep ball and play more cupcake defenses allowing him to pad those stats but Brady brings it against better defenses and certainly brought it when it mattered while Rodgers was MIA. Most talented=/=best31 Straight unanswered- 5 Rings- GOAT
