Actually you made the mistake. In a conversation about illegal immigration you posted this:

Your logic is a bit flawed in some things you've said. Also, immigration is great for economics, you should be pro-immigration like Trump and republicans & democrats.

Illegal immigration is a big problem, if anything understated in the media, and a costly problem at that. Your stance is sort of a "eh well it's tough so let's just not have a position on it" defeatist type of view.

I'm not sure I could bring myself to vote for Trump, but something needs to be done about the issue. Holes are easier to detect and collapse than to build. Hole's aren't very efficient for bringing in people vs walking over open boarder. A fence/wall would be expensive but economics 101, that money isn't "spent", it's put in the hands of workers and it goes straight back into the economy.

Imagine building yourself a shirt and selling it to yourself. You essentially got a free shirt. The only currency is time and focus really, and it's probably a better idea than doing nothing.

Yes I made a mistake in my wording, but again from the context of the discussion it's quite obvious what I'm talking about. The person who quoted me is arguing a point based around poor wording, unlike your post which actually addresses the point of the wall.

As for what you said, I disagree. First off I'm not not taking a stance on it; I don't think illegal immigration is OK. Nor am I taking a defeatist type of view, I'm simply looking at the reality of the situation. If you build a wall you will only increase the amount of underground traffic. Holes may be easier to collapse than to build, but they're not easier to detect than a person walking across the border. The efficacy of a 2,000 mile long wall is up for debate but since we can only speculate I will agree to disagree.
