Pretty sure the guts are mostly from excessive insulin use exacerbated by GH.
Look at Bostin Loyd, he does a ton of slin and he also has a pretty bad distended gut now.
In general guys that avoid those 2 seem to have very tight midsections.*Korean Crew*

I'd rather not
The distended guts won't go away till the IFBB absolutely hammer all athletes who are carrying them. That won't happen however-imagine most of the competitors being marked waaaay down the placings and then the inevitable ****storm followed by the IFBB bending over, apologising profusely then going back to rewarding guts.''There’s this battle over waterboarding at places like Guantanamo Bay. I think that they should just say, “Hey, if you guys don’t talk, you have to see Hercules In New York.” I guarantee those guys would talk much faster. You don’t need to do waterboarding or anything else. That’s the ultimate threat.''

Honestly I don't think it would go that way. People follow bodybuilding because they are passionate about perfection in human form when it comes to musculature and distended guts are not and never were a part of that equation.
I really don't see a big push back if they started marking guts down AT ALL. Sure maybe from the athletes themselves, but I think most fans would be happy with the sport taking that direction.
And even if they weren't, it is not like the IFBB ever really listens to the fans or fan input anyway. A lot of things in this sport are subjective, but the fact that the top pros should not have guts should be an OBJECTIVE goal that everyone can agree on.
