Agree 100% as others have said "controlling the gut" should not even be a thing on stage....it has gotten way out of hand and seems to be getting worse instead of better...observe this video..seems like every single one of them has one...and this is the 212s by the looks of it

Seems like the insulin and gh use contribute to the visceral fat behind the abdominal wall. So no matter how shredded these guys get, they won't be able to appear flat at rest and have the ability to perform a vacuum when flexed.

Pretty sure the guts are mostly from excessive insulin use exacerbated by GH.

Look at Bostin Loyd, he does a ton of slin and he also has a pretty bad distended gut now.

In general guys that avoid those 2 seem to have very tight midsections.

I don't know how much of the AC show he controls.
Obviously he has no say over the judging at the AC.
If Arnold wants competitors with controlled midsections, then he should only allow physique and classical bodybuilding competition at the ACs.

The distended guts won't go away till the IFBB absolutely hammer all athletes who are carrying them. That won't happen however-imagine most of the competitors being marked waaaay down the placings and then the inevitable ****storm followed by the IFBB bending over, apologising profusely then going back to rewarding guts.

Honestly I don't think it would go that way. People follow bodybuilding because they are passionate about perfection in human form when it comes to musculature and distended guts are not and never were a part of that equation.

I really don't see a big push back if they started marking guts down AT ALL. Sure maybe from the athletes themselves, but I think most fans would be happy with the sport taking that direction.

And even if they weren't, it is not like the IFBB ever really listens to the fans or fan input anyway. A lot of things in this sport are subjective, but the fact that the top pros should not have guts should be an OBJECTIVE goal that everyone can agree on.

The guts could also be caused by not expelling enough protein farts.
