Well the inital order was 1K all of which sold except for 1 used ice cream maker. Just did some trials with prospective inventory so I'm going to put in some larger orders ASAP. I expect the graduation stuff to continue till the end of this week then slow down to a trickle (this one ******* keeps dropping his prices I assume to get rid of his inventory within the week).

Was a pretty good webinar...dude sounded super knowledgeable about Amazon...yada yada...I swear I was almost thinking about joining...

Quick question for the guys that sell products on Amazon.
When your searching for new products to sell, does it matter if another seller has the same exact product already? Like the same generic product you find from China? Are you allowed to sell it also? Obviously it wouldnt be branded. Just the generic Chinese product.
Thanks!

Depends how many people sell it, if its just one you can take some of their sales if you get better pictures and copy, but my personal rule is to never sell the same thing as someone else. If you put your logo on it it does add perceived value (in most cases). The better bet is to find a creative way to modify it and make it much more appealing to a buyer.

Yea I guess in order to be a step above the rest, and have something unique to offer you'd need to have the knowledge and capability to be running tests on Amazon's Sponsored Ads platform, since from what I understand, the algorithm that controls it is kept secret, and is always changing to top it off. And I believe Brian Johnson claims that he/his company is always testing and trying to figure out the algorithm. So maybe a better question would be, which gurus (other than BJ) out there are actively testing this stuff out?

I had a product that was selling 20x a week.
I ran out of stock then the rankings went low and I wasn't able to go back, but on some days the ranking would go back to where it was. I'd still only sell one every other day.
This product is a bluetooth headset and I was selling 20x a week during 4th quarter in 2015.
Is it cause bluetooth headsets are highly saturated nowadays or am I just doing something wrong? The Shepherd's shepherd

I decided to try a test run with some yeti knock offs from walmart. They're going for about $20 FBA and the cup costs $10. After fees theres almost no profit. Are the sellers already in it doing huge numbers for like $2 per cup or am I missing something?

Boyo I'm not sure exactly what you mean by knockoff (but if Walmart's being sued for selling them then I'm pretty sure there must be some IP infringement going on), but just so you know, selling knockoffs on Amazon is giant no no If someone reports you to Amazon or whatever I'm pretty sure they're gonna ban your account. I'd take them down ASAP.

Recently advertised a post to a custom FB audience of 12,000 AMZ buyers (from phone numbers, was paying like 0.09 per link click) got on page 1 in 3 days. Also blasted out 100 units to my email list to kick that off. That's the kinda chit you wont read about, but you need a strong brand.
