    Height weight question

My friend asked me the other day if 111 pounds was fat for 4-11. She has wide hips for her height but what do you guys think would be a fit weight for that height.

Assuming her BF% is healthy (between 15 and 25%), she is at a perfectly acceptable size. A healthy BMI for her height would be between 100 and about 125 pounds. At 111 pounds her BMI is 22 - which is the middle of the suggested 19 to 25 range.

It could depend on body type. A thin ectomorph, everything else being the same, would usually weigh less than someone with big bones. If she has wide hips, she probably is rather large boned and thus it would be irrational for her to expect to be 90 pounds. Body composition ( bodyfat % and muscle %) are more important than a scale number.
