My understanding he was indicted on substance charges in 2009 but it was eventually thrown out of court? I'm sure there are tons of shady things going on with the IFBB but I never liked the way took over the Pro Bodybuilding Worldwide podcast. The more they talked about how NOT guilty he was, the guiltier he seemed. Also not sure about what happened with the sexual harassment charges.

PBW pretends there is no conflict of interest with a head judge hosting a podcast (Lee drops out right before each contest) but it seems weird to me: He can say whatever he wants about the competitors 2 weeks before the show, but has to be silent one week before the show?

I just don't trust him.

You really shouldn't due to his shady past, relationship with the bodybuilders and more importantly his lack of understanding the judging criteria and saying ridiculous remark about 2014's Olympia.

I don't think he would get away with the same nonsense in a MORE transparent organization, people are already questioning the credibility of the start up due to his known ties. He better drop the **** if he plans on taking the new
NPC seriously

I'm highly skeptical.

1) the name...good luck keeping it "NPC" once it goes to court, and it will.

2) reputation - he has a reputation of being a bit...slimy, to say the least. he is not well liked amongst competitors (generally speaking)

making a website, and making an HD YouTube video does not = bringing down the NPC/IFBB

Lee Thompson leaves the NPC/IFBB in part due to not being satisfied with judging.

Lee Thompson promoted NPC shows, was in charge of NPC Texas and was IFBB Head Judge.

Any pressure on the IFBB is good pressure..........it`s been getting progressively worse each year with a certain "we don`t give a crap what you think" type of atmosphere. Not sure if Kai, or Arnold or DLB supporting him makes sense for them in their lives but either this is good for us, the fans.

I think all of us would agree that there's a lot of potential with having a new organization to compete with the IFBB. But here's the issue: if one of the biggest complaints about the IFBB is that the judging is (at best) inconsistent and (at worst) corrupt, then does it make sense for the HEAD JUDGE in the IFBB to create a new organization?

The name Nspire is terrible. He needs a new more professional name.

In order for this to work, I think there needs to be a mass exodus of competitors. If for example Kai goes over and there is no real competition for him, the audience will lose interest.

Imagine Kai and some guys that usually place 7th - 12th competing together. It wouldn't be very interesting.
