At $350, he should get the powerline rack. At $450 he should get the BS GPR378.
The DSG stuff is painted soda can material. The numbers are stickers. The j-hooks are rubber lined, but the rivets where the bar rest aren't and will quickly damage the knurl on a bar. I will be posting my self numbering of my GPR378 rack using the method how DSG did theirs with a label maker soon. Total cost $18 plus a label maker I can keep.

It's white paint - my rack has labels, but I used a dry erase marker to mark the various positions. Even with pop-pin safeties (the upright is completely enclosed in the safety) it stays a long time.Originally Posted by Ramcharger310

I posted some time ago that I was looking for a GPS. KBKB gave me some advice and after doing research, I bought a Garmin eTrex 30x. It's great and does everything I wanted. I've been doing quite a bit of hiking. Here's a pretty cool pic of me on the Ballantine Trail in the Tonto National Forest. I'll never understand how rocks get situated like this but this one seems set up for photo ops.

I hiked at Spur Cross today. I was hoping to go up to Skull Mesa, but it was too cold and windy. We ended up doing an 8.5 mile loop that was still a lot of fun. I hiked some trails that I had never been on before.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #35
