In the midwest here the weather is always up and down. so people will see a high of 55 or even 60 sometimes and go out wearing short sleeves and no jacket. and then they realize that it gets to 60 degrees for like 15 minutes and then gets cold again.
and then they complain about it; this is Kansas: the weather always does thisDomicron's Basement Gym and Fun House

Lately we've had 35-40° mornings and 65-70° afternoons. Commuting on the motorcycle has been rough. I can dress for the morning temps and sweat on the ride home, or dress for the afternoon temps and freeze my balls off on the ride to work.

in college my freshman year (virginia tech) i had a morning class and the temp was right around freezing. walking from the dorms it's rough because you had to cross the drill field which was like a wind tunnel.
my 8am class got out and we were all bundled up walking outside where people were wearing shorts and t-shirts giving us funny looks.
and then i found 5 dollars.Domicron's Basement Gym and Fun House

I've heard it gets really humid down under. If that's the cause, I wish you the best... that's high heat. Around 100F w/ high humidity, I have issues working in that climate, but most people do.
It's that way with cold temps too...
When I lived in Colorado, temps dipping into the negatives were far more bearable than here around 40°F with high humidity. People come down here in the winter to escape the snow & cold weather & get hit with bone chilling dampness. Dry climates aren't harsh enough, lol. I take that back, they are horrible for your sinuses.Crews: Ivanko Barbell Crew #52, York Barbell Club #95, Equipment Crew #59

We're fine. Thanks for checking bud. Tornados hit down the road about a mile from my workplace.. Ugh. Looks like they hit New Orleans pretty good too. SK texted me earlier and he's good. No damage to his place that he mentioned. Man, anybody live in a catastrophe-free city? I'm almost ready to bail on Louisiana.

Yep, we're good. Everything was north & south of me.
Anyone east of us, watch out, seriously! This storm is nothing to mess with.
It was a mile!? Holy hell!
The one in New Orleans East is either a strong EF2 or an EF3 tornado (136mph to 165mph). Looking at the video, it wouldn't surprise me if it was an EF3. There was golf ball sized hail in pockets all over the place.
For anyone not familiar with our area, EF0/EF1 are the highest rated tornadoes we get. An EF3 is unheard of. Usually, they are above I-10. It's rare to see them this far south.

We'll probably make national news tonight.
I'm going to go over my house this week & look into reinforcing certain areas. This sort of thing has me just a little freaked out.Crews: Ivanko Barbell Crew #52, York Barbell Club #95, Equipment Crew #59

You need a good rack, a bench, and a 300-lb Olympic weight set. Now, what was your question?

Page 3 bump.
These photos are from last Sunday's hike. It was a 7+ mile loop (which took us 10 hours!) that led us past a cool balanced rock, on to the highest point in the Superstitions, and back down Hieroglyphic Canyon.
This is a photo of Weaver's Needle, taken from the summit of Peak 5057, the highest point in the western Superstitions:

FWIW, I'm not seeing my own photos that I posted here. (Though I did when I first made the post.)
And... I think I see why...
When I right click on one of those broken-photo icons, and pick "Open image in new tab", I see a "Connection refused page". The URL begins with https, but should actually begin with http. I don't think there's anything that I can do about this as a post author since I specified http (and not https) in the photo links. I think that forum.bodybuilding.com is (incorrectly) doing a http --> https mapping when trying to find the photo.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #35
