My colorful, pretty Rogue bumpers were really grimy and dirty. Even though I've been waning on lifting frequency for a bit, I've had them almost 2 years ish (MBF of 2016) and never actually cleaned them...first year they were in a garage and then they got stacked in a moving truck...

Anyway, I spent some time a couple days ago wiping them down with a tub o towels, and then a shop paper towel for excess cleaning fluid. Hit the part of the stall mat the plates rest on for deads too.

These are legit, and clean damn near anything. Inexpensive, available at Amazon, Walmart (automotive section), Home Depot, etc etc. They are good for your hands too, no 'harsh chemicals' or any of that. Used them in the car and around the house for random dirty **** too

Agreed. I keep a tub in the garage at all times. Kinda pricey, but they don't make the skin on my hands crack/split like some other options.

Currently on my 'no load' week, been over a year since I've got in a good rest. Felt like I was on the verge of pulling everything. Doctor has more or less mentioned I'm getting kind of old to be this strong. What does he know? lol

I'm still fighting. But having never pulled a muscle and then pulling two in a week and a half is a bit scary. Of course, I'm stubborn and my memory is short, so I'll probably continue to push things going forward.

I did finally break my bench PR. Oddly enough it was about 3 hours after I pulled my hamstring. I was supposed to make the attempt the following day, but I moved it up thinking my leg was likely to be more sore the following day.

IIRC you had switched to a high rep low weight program that you saw pretty decent gains from. Perhaps give that routine another shot and take a break from heavy lifting until you heal up.

Thanks man! I've been needing plates for farmers walks since 2012. I'm also unhappy w/ the 10" pad on my Rae Crowther. This one has a 12" pad. I am debating about selling my 11" wide DB Bench. It's so light, I can hang it on the wall. I'm just not sure yet. I have 3 benches now, lol. I guess you guys have influenced me too much! I'll be trying out the box squat tomorrow.

So I just watched the movie 'Ready Player One', and I must say it was incredibly cool. The CGI was impressive, it was chalked full of action, and the endless pop culture references had me geeking out in nearly every scene. How have I not heard anyone raving about this movie is beyond me. Mind = Blown!

Both up north and in the valley. Those photos from Friday were from a hike in the Tom's Thumb area. My wife and I and some friends hiked up near Pine today.

I did an evening hike at a local park (MMRP) on Tuesday night. It was 103 and I thought it felt pretty good. But earlier in the season, prior to being acclimated, 103 felt pretty hot.

Hey. It's hard to believe, but it's been over 6 years since I had my knee surgery. My patella tendon repair has held up nicely. I still have a fully detached ACL, which I have no intention of getting fixed. I wear my Donjoy ACL Defense brace when I hike and it's amazing. I wouldn't even know I have stability issues. But, I will always have the stiffness. I've just learned to live with it. It's great for forecasting rain!!

KBKB is tougher than me. It's way too hot to be hiking in the valley yet. I hike in the Tom's Thumb area every season but it will be a couple more weeks before I get out.

I just happen to like the heat. As I said earlier, it's not that bad when you acclimate to it. Plus, I bring along a lot of water. For anything over eight miles in the summer, I've been carrying six liters (i.e. two CamelBak reservoirs) of water.

Below are two photos from Sunday's hike. We started from the Geronimo Trailhead, hiked Geronimo and then the Turkey Trail up to the Mogollon Rim (Milk Ranch Point), hiked FS 218 along the top, and then descended using the West Webber Trail and back on Geronimo. Total distance was just under eleven miles with over 2,000 feet of total ascent.

The Dominoes keep falling. Sunday night before last, I was out to dinner and started feeling pain in a tooth (unidentified) from cold water. Felt like a raw nerve was exposed. Assumed I was going to need a crown and wanted to get it done before leaving on vacation (at that time 3 weeks away). Called the dentist Monday morning and got an early Tuesday appointment. Dentist couldn't identify the exact tooth, but considering the pain I was in, he set me up with a specialist for a root canal Wednesday morning. Wednesday morning the oral surgeon couldn't find the tooth causing the problem either. After xrays, he determined that there was no problem with my teeth and that the swelling that had started that morning on the left side of my face was not tooth related. Next stop was the walk in clinic where I was diagnosed with Shingles! LOL! I seem to be balling apart!

With regard to root canals, while I understand that the current diagnosis is that you don't need one now, if it ever does happen that your dentist says that you need one, do some research first about the long term health implications.

I can think of two people right off top of my head who had a root canal and said no way in hell would they do it again. Pull it.
