Really hope shields can get it together. Some really bad penalties made that game too close for too long. Good to be 1-0 though.

why isn't he? Shields has received praise from both Sherman and Revis before. he's gotten better as a cover corner every year he's been in the league by improving his technique and fundamentals. Tackling has always been his weak link. He also still will get torched from time to time, but no one claims him a shut down corner, just an excellent cover man and playmaker, which is all GBs defense asks of it's corners... Tramon was similar in that way... not shutdown but great coverage skills and playmaker. I definitely think Shields is a top 10 number 1 corner in the NFL. just my opinion of course.
and that’s the bottom line

I'll say he's good, but a top corner definitely not. Yesterday in the 4th quarter (after many other mistakes) he got burned on a 50 yard play and then fell down the play after and got burned. I get that people fall down, but these types of mistakes are the ones you expect from the Rookies. Not your "top corner". All I'm saying is every since he inked his name in on that contract he hasn't impressed me as much as I had hoped.

Have mercy brahs, I come in peace
My cousin is a diehard, born in GB that has season tickets. He had an extra one an offered me it, I took it. As an NFL fan, this game is too good to pass up.
This will be my 2nd game at Lambeau (went to the tie game against the Vikings in 2013, the infamous Tolzien spin move game)
Although I will obviously be wearing neutral clothes Sunday, I hope Rodgers shreds those *******s to Timbuktu srs, pretty sure every fan in the league hates the Seahawks.Barely use FB, deleted Twitter, never had an Instagram crew

The left side of the field played pretty bad. But Datone Jones was missing and Shields keeps slipping. Also some new LB's hopefully they'll find their groove. But Forte kept running it left and they kept gaining. Good thing Cutler is a potato who's always good for two int's against the Pack had Hyde not dropped that int they would've gotten their standard two.
What I saw from Dix yesterday was pretty inexcusable he missed an open field tackle against Jay Cutler who was running right at him and he tries to idk wtf he tried to do, bring him down with an arm tackle as he spins by him?
Anyways pretty stoked for next week, it'll be a true test early in the season.

I feel good about the Seahawks game as long as Chancellor is still holding out.

Vikings have to be really disappointed after last night. I thought they would improve since last season. So much for a dominating, mad AP.

I agree with this, a one game sample size isn't enough for everyone to freak out. Let's all enjoy the win and hope Kam Chancellor continues holding out so Rodgers can carve up that Seattle defense and get some oh so sweet revenge.
I think it's hilarious that a lot of people were expecting the vikings to be a contender, they're entire team just looked awful. Obviously it's too early to tell, but Bridgewater didn't look improved from last year at all.

It was a rough showing week 1 but the defense will be better. They were missing 2 of the top 2 linemen and Burnett who is probably the best run defender on the team. The Packers had a top 8 defense last year after the bye when Clay was moved inside and I am not expecting that to change. The run defense was solid all preseason as well when they had everybody.

I find it somewhat hilarious all te people (from every team) either saying "We suck again" or "This is OUR year" after one game. The first game is ALWAYS a mystery. Typically, you cant really guage how well your team is until game 3-4. Take us for example...start out 1-2 seemingly evey year only to be talked about as a SB contender midway through season. I do think our defense will get better, i do think we'll be fine without Jordy (but sure would be nice to have him).

this is so true. i know our defense is gonna be top 10 this year, i just have the feeling. the whole team is gonna start gelling together pretty soon.
i'll even go as far as to say they'll hold Seattle to under 10 points this coming week. punch me if the face if they don't

Brutal news. Palmer looked pretty poor in run coverage. Hopefully Ryan is ready to step up.
