The last three workouts I've been taking 750mg+ of Phosphatic Acid and 3-4 HICA-Max tablets 1 hour before workout. I feel fine before, but once I get in the gym, I feel sluggish and tired. Is this natural? It's almost a fogginess of the brain, but it makes me feel less motivation. However, I've been pushing past it and still making some gains in strength every session so it doesn't seem to actually effect my strength, but who knows, I could be doing even better without them.
It's only three workouts, and I'm sure it takes a couple weeks to "kick in," but I wanna make sure there's not people with similar situations that continued and had a bad time of it (soy lecithin allergy, etc) and had trouble down the road.
I thought about taking caffeine with it as well, but I typically taking in 300-400+ mg every day already and I've read that desensitized people don't really benefit as much from it in a workout. Also, had my genome "decoded" (23andme) and apparently I have the rs762551 (AA) genotype which means I'm a fast metabolizer of caffeine (FWIW, anyway).
