At the end of four weeks hair, urine and erythrocyte zinc levels rose significantly (p less than 0.005, p less than 0.001, and p less than 0.001) during zinc picolinate administration. There was no significant change in any of these parameters from zinc gluconate, zinc citrate or placebo administration. There was a small, insignificant rise in serum zinc during zinc picolinate, zinc citrate and placebo supplementation. The results of this study suggest that zinc absorption in humans can be improved by complexing zinc with picolinic acid.
    Not saying that study is false but how do we know it wasn't funded by drug manufacturers of zinc picolinate?

    Don't worry about the copper, people tend to have too much. In fact, the reduction of excesive copper is one of the main benefits of zinc supplementation. I will buy one bottle soon.

    To the bruhs that call it placebo, I used to take (plan to start again) zinc+ vitamin c and it worked wonders for my hair, skin and libido. Pretty good product, made from a Greek company so I don't know if it is available in other countries. It has 16mg Zinc and I think 150mf of vitamin C which helps with absorption. It was enough to make a huge difference for me, don't really think that you need 50+mg. Anyway, just accept that some guys may have a hard time absorbing zinc from food or whatever. We are all different. I also sweat like a pig so that would be a decent explanation too.

    just finished my first bottle of ZMA and VitD today (one month supply)

    hit 60 days no fap/no porn today

    hit 5 days no cigs today

    consistently lifting and eating


    works wonders. Can't tell you how much **** has changed. motivation through the roof. Everything done effortlessly whereas before it would need a plan and mental preparation. I can not emphasize enough how much it improves MOTIVATION. This, might not be the ZMA, might be no fap (def has to do with no fap/porn), but I'm attributing it to a result of a combination of all these things listed above.

    I guess i was making a mistake taking ZMA on an empty stomach first thing in the morning? that would explain my stomach hurting on the way to the gym i guess


    on a side note, had a panic attack a few days ago. Felt like i dodged a few these last couple days with deep breaths and cold AC.. anybody know why one would suddenly get these, and how to make them stop? Only change in my diet has been inclusion of weight gainer.

    Ok guys i got some bad and unfortunate news. I think its 100% placebo...in fact after 14 days straight i noticed
    - libido actually decrease srs
    - anxiety / depression came back (made no difference)
    - actually got a cold srs (first time getting sick in about a year and a half srs) (not sure if any relation)

    As stated several times before ITT, if you do not have a zinc deficiency there will not be any difference.
    Restoring a performance deficit by fixing an inadequacy doesn't necessarily mean there is a dose-response relationship on the upside.

    With Zinc there are massive performance and hormonal etc. decreases with a inadequate intake, but there is no increase by going above optimal levels you simply supplement to get there if there is an inadequate intake in your diet (40-50mg). Like with everything, you want them at adequate levels going above usually never makes an increase and tends to be potentially detrimental.

    Depends on the quality of magnesium and how you react, I take ZMA fine on a empty stomach without any issues.

    As for the panic attacks, I don't know if it causing that if anything it should help on it as Zinc tends to help women with PMS in terms of anxiety and stress (not sure about men though).
    If it keeps happening then stop taking ZMA for a while and see if it has any correlation.
