OP, cheat on her before she cheats on you. Call up her friend that she wants to work with, and go to poundtown. Then from there, go to NC on an extended vacation from this terrible girlfriend of yours. Take charge, be the bad guy, so you don't become the beta guy.
Here for the gains.
We're all gonna make it brah.

Cook checking in, lol at everyone trying to scare opie. Since when are restaurants these huge orgies? Only on the misc, I swear lol.
Your main concern should be that your girlfriend is screwing herself by making this kind of choice, it is bonkers. Talk to her about it and hopefully it was just some knee jerk reaction to a bad day at work or something.*Sit there and don't know what to do when people sing happy birthday to me crew*

dont quit brah, i have family friends who is a softward ENG and hes fkn killing it in silicon valley, somewhere around 200k, hes been busting his ass and will retire at 50 in Spain with a paid off house, and not having to work for like 10 years.
Tough it out for as long as possible while youre young and then get something more chill until your ready to call it quits. 145k is nothing to laugh at.

I can see giving up a corporate job if you wanted to go do something you really loved. For example, if you were a fitness enthusiast and you wanted to give up your IT job to open a personal training business or if you were really into nature and you wanted to open a tour guide business.
I can't really understand someone giving up that much $$ to go do something that's not really a "dream". Restaurants are fun places to work, don't get me wrong, but they aren't career builders.
It seems like she just wants a more relaxed atmosphere, with more fun (parties, drinking, etc.) She's probably hearing stories from her friend about all the fun things she gets to do like going to the beach, partying after work, and clubbing with people their age from the restaurant. Meanwhile she's at her IT desk listening to Fat Bob talk about his fantasy football draft and Lazy Susan is complaining about her little dick husband.*Strong Everything 2018 Champion*

Sounds like wife material... congrats!
After you get married, she quits her job and just serves you food.
After you have a kid, she quits serving you food and only serves your child.
After your kid enters teen years, she quits serving both of you and tells you to 'Quit your bitching, or you won't get a handy'.

I program in order to finance my dream of buying that remote island and consuming the coconuts which you will sell to me out of your canoe.
Srs, though, I'm a mid-level programmer for web applications, pulling right at $100k. It's hard to tell whether I'm right about at the median or getting screwed over by about $20k. What is your opinion on this, given the current job market?
Also, OP needs a new g/f. Sorry, sloot, but money is fungible. Every dime you don't pull down is a dime you're eventually going to ask me to spend on you.Nah, fukk that. I’m not doing that.
