Heard about flat earth before, its compelling. At the same time its so outrageous to think about, I don't know what to believe.

Now think of what % of humans living right now will actually ever leave Earth as astronauts to see Earth from space? 0.0000000000001% ? Every picture we ever get comes from NASA and other space agencies, if they do have an agenda to perpetuate a spherical planet you can be damn sure every picture or video they ever release will be faked.

Various proofs that may or may not have been mentioned in this thread before:
- you can test the curvature using 2 boats and a pair of binoculars on a clear day and a body of water some 20 miles across
- you can chart the progress of sunrise across the globe using ******** and a bunch of international friends (or is there a giant lampshade in the flat earth theory?)
- you can take any flat world map and disprove its accuracy by driving the same distance eastward in the 2 hemispheres at the same speed and seeing where you end up
- you can indirectly verify the round earth theory by comparing flight paths and times between distant cities. Or are you telling me airlines are wasting billions of dollars each year by flying wrongly, and none of them have ever tried to fly "straight across" using the flat earth map?
- it's not hard to charter a boat and sail a tour around antarctica, and realize from how long it took that the flat earth map is wrong

Sure, 500 years ago the people who could personally testify to the roundness of the earth were few, but in the meantime there are millions who have seen it by the mechanisms I posted above, and there is a ****ton of circumstantial evidence to convince people who have never been on a boat or airplane themselves.

I've seen ships in the distance that appear half underwater. Or you can only see the top 1/2 of the sail. Because when you look 10+ miles out you can see a bit of a curve.

I'll debunk this using simple logic:

If an airplane from North America from the west wants to fly to China, they will head west and it will take approximately 11hrs.

Now take a flight from a European country (let's use Italy) is 10 hours.

Considering that Italy is far more east on the map, why does it take almost the exact same time? Wouldn't the plane from Italy need to fly over the Atlantic AND North America and then make the trip to China?

And the moon phases are a result of the Suns positioning casting light over the moon allowing it to become visible right?

But there is actually times in the year when the sun is not casting light over the visible side of the moon but it is clearly visible (ever seen a full moon in daytime?) just as their is times when you can't see the moon even though the sun should be casting light over it

In this picture, below the gold arrow you can see the phase the moon will be in when the sun and moon are positioned like that. If you are the person in the middle then you should be able to see the moon. This is not the case lol and it makes no sense at all.



I think it's more to demonstrate how easy it is to come up with explanations for ideas that nobody can prove but make logical sense in theory

Please give me your explanation and ideas (that you cannot prove) of why the moon has curved shadows. If it's flat, how is this the case?

Moon doesnt have to be flat for earth to be flat.

But you can see the moon during the day without breaking the round earth model, and actually it strengthens the argument. Couldnt find a better picture sorry. But you can see that a person standing on the right side of earth in the diagram would be able to see multiple moon phases during the day.
