in SC all used vehicles are sold "as is" and a separate warranty or service contract document is required to override that. we signed title and contract that reference that also. so I don't owe them anything, but I don't mind buying them a $400 part to help out and then say "now leave me alone".

They bought a used Porsche, that's their risk. If I buy a used Porsche, 350Z, BMW M3, ... I know I'm buying a car that has seen a beating more than once in its lifetime.

Also we need more poeple that challenge Howard once in a while. Like that Sahsa Baron Cohen movie incident rustled my jimmies, Robin kind of tried to make a point about how he may have ruined a great part of the movie but it was brushed off. We need an employee who is not afraid of 3 hours of mental torture once or twice a week.

so...I sold the cayenne last friday to a girl who called me yesterday afternoon...the thing broke down the FIRST drive she took it for. I had it for a year and a half with no problems. Started getting a knocking/grinding noise and a burnt smell...mechanic says front differential failed. I don't see how that can happen the DAY after I sold it to them, but it did. Of course, she drove it 3 hours at highway speed immediately, which I have not done that for probably over a year (always took my wife's car)...and based on their test drive, they were probably putting it through its paces...so i think the "coincidence" is that the diff was bad and had been bad, but I hadn't pushed the car enough to stress it enough to finally make it fail. anyway, she is raging at me. The mechanic was wanting $2,200 for an OEM part LOL. I said yeah they are available on ebay for $400 with 50,000 miles on them. crazy situation. I don't feel guilty because I didn't deceive her, but I feel bad for them. Think I'll offer to buy them the part and ship it to a mechanic of their choosing. Labor should be around 400 to 500 so in effect I'd be splitting the repair with them, even though by law I owe them nothing. That is more than fair, right? They both test drove it, girl drove it. then boyfriend came and drove it, then boyfriend offered $500 less than what I had agreed to with the girl already...so a part of me is like "justice served"...but i dunno.

i think you did the right thing. its a $hitty situation all around but at least you made an effort to fix the situation. buying the part was a reasonable compromise to what they were trying to do.

Me too. I start work at 7 so I used to be able to catch almost the whole first hour of the show in the car driving to work.

Yea, I am up at 5 on average, usually end up getting involved listening to something else before 7 now, then tune in half way through, spend the rest of the day trying to catch segments I missed between the first part of the show and times I have to step away from the radio for work. I used to be able to catch most of the show throughout the day with the 6am start time, now not so much. I wish car radios had the whole ondemand thing and it would syn with your phone as far as where you left off.

With the 6:00 am start I used to hear the first hour on the drive to work and then I would catch the news on the replay during my ride home. My favorite parts of the show. Now during the drive home the wrap up show is on. Naturally I dont listen considering the high risk of it putting me to sleep while driving

yeah and then on the wrap up show another guy called in defending it, which was hilarious. he was trying to say country incorporates all types of music, rock, hip hop.... then the black dude sitting in busting out laughing. was funny.


also, I could listen to sour shoes all day. talk to the toll booth lady using gary tape voice was hilarious.

Hi, this is Sal Governale, and unfortunately, yesterday on the Wrap-Up Show, I made a few comments that some considered to be racist and offensive. If I did offend you, I deeply apologize from the bottom of my heart. What I was simply trying to do was make a joke over the fact that white women generally don't have sex with black men. It was simply a joke, and the joke got out of hand, because in this situation it was true. People were offended. It doesn't matter what type of baby you have whether it be white, black, or Italian, the important thing here, that we can learn from this, is a) you shouldn't drink and do drugs, because you might end up in a situation that you regret, whether it be a white child or a black child, and b) I have personally learned that when I address things, I should address them in a much better way, in a specific way, as not to offend people. Black people, white people, Spanish, Italian, or whatever, whatever the case may be. I sincerely mean this. I sincerely stand behind the fact that I was joking, and I sincerely apologize over the fact that people were offended. I am not a racist. Thank you for your time.
