On show days without interviews more success will be less Jon Hein, Jason Kaplan, Shuli, and more Ronnie, Sal, Richard, JD, and calls from Beet, High Pitch, Bigfoot and Wendy.
The other day when Jon and Jason were in talking about Hit em with the Hein, I wanted to blow my freaking mind up. Ronnie and JD always bring the lulz, and there can never be enough of those 4 wack packers. I'd much rather listen to Bigfoot and Wendy for 2 hours than an interview with someone I care very little for. I understand Howard does a damn good interview and some are interesting to me, but for the most part my enjoyment from the show comes from certain staff and wack packers.
I'd venture to guess more than half the Stern listeners feel that way, I don't know too many people I talk to who subscribe for the interviews or REALLY look forward to them. An exception would be Jimble Kimble's latest spot because it wasn't an interview.

This. In addition to the wack packer/staff stuff, just the randaom abnter about the news or anything else to me is far better than celebrity interviews:
"So tell me, when you made that movie did you feel like you would be best friends with the rest of the cast forever? When I made my movie..."
"Did you get a bonar when you shot thae sex scene?... when I made my movie..."
"How long did it take you to write that song? I often hear that some songwriters wrote their best song in like 15 minutes..."

Looked at the picture of the "comedian" that came with HPE.
I think HPE might be out of her league. Gross. And it seemed like the staff didn't even realize she was telling jokes. Sounded like the same crap that fat slob Schumer tells. Herp derp black guys herp derp bisexual

So I had an entire day to myself yesterday, first time in probably 6 years...anyways.... Howard TV on youtube on one monitor, battlefield 4 on the other.
What happened to Elliot Offen? I watched all his stuff, so amazing.

I don't disagree with everything he says, or every opinion he has but I surely disagree with some. You are right, he has studied various topics and can communicate his opinion well, giving weak minded people with no opinion a tendency to think he actually knows something. Either way, again, I like hearing all voices and opinions in the studio, if I agree or not, one of the reasons I miss Artie and wish George was in more, it's just more interesting than always hearing Howard talk about the Bachelor, painting, and the old chitty music he likes, or Robin with her BS spiritual adventures.... not because those topics and opinions are boring to me, it just gets repetitive.
