I'm interning in Qatar and it's one of the worst experience of my life

So I'm on this exhange scheme and applied to here. I was before arriving 'you'll be staying at this hotel in the city'. Before leaving I state in an email 'i am told to go to this kiosk at the airport to go to the hotel' , the guy replied and doesn't say about this being wrong. So eventually I fly over and go to the hotel, a student on his own, they don't have bookings for me, I phone the guy who is SUPPOSE to be avaliable if i need assistance but no luck. I phone this other guy on leave and it seemingly turns out I'm staying in some fukin industrial city at company hotel 30KM from the capital.

So I was hoping to move but now they say its new company policy that visitors stay there, although last year students stayed in the city hotel.

I wanna kill myself Srs. This place is deserted, I'm literally alone, been speaking to a few tinder girls from the capital and staff here (who speak the worst english ever)but thats it.

I don't know what the hell to do, I am so depressed and feel so isolated. I literally wanna fukin get out of this.


Edit: Seems like people aren't understanding. I was told I would be staying in the capital. I FLY OVER HERE, THEY DIDN'T EVEN TELL ME IT CHANGED, I'm a fukin student for gods sake and they let me fly out here without telling me. I'm part of a scheme run by another organisation that is about also experiencing the culture and I can't even do that here. I have nothing to do, and I cant travel to the capital. I could be having the time of my life but this is the biggest disappointment of my life, I've never had an opportunity like this. I've never even had the privilege of going on holiday before

People go to *****/Qatar with the promise of a luxurious lifestyle but in the end, they take advantage of their image by doing a bait and switch. They will slowly drain you of your life, promising you ridiculous money for a young person with barely any qualifications and then work you like a dog. There are no civil rights in these countries, they continue to employ slave labor to this day. They can change anything in their contract at the drop of a dime and you could be forced to work for free, all they have to do is take your passport.

no you dont, trust me, go back to school or something. the days of entry level oilfield guys making $$$ is over for now thanks to the big hit the industry has taken, even the experienced pros are taking pay cuts now, walk on rig pigs are not making $120k/year any more, guys who used to make $600/day to sit in their truck are now making $125, srs. if for some reason you actually do want to live that life (again, dont recommend) get a relevant degree so you can have a better pick of jobs/better pay/options/etc

I have a good degree from a good school, I wasn't talking about a labour job. I want something where literally all I do is work. I don't care about anything else but working atm. Would work 18 hours everyday until 35 if I could. All I want is money. If that meant going to some country and isolating myself from everyone I would do it 100 percent.
