It's not so much that he has not "confessed". It's that he explicitly states that he is natural.
He would be the only pro who actually has done (aside from that other dude who claimed it in a video and no one took seriously), Michael's claim has been taken VERY seriously... There was a 100,000,000 page thread about him being natural backed up by far more reputable people than you would believe over at MD (MD - just so you know, it's not some forum with unawares) a few years ago... Most of which have met him in real life suggesting that it's probably true. When people who do this professionally meet a guy as big as Michael IRL... and post on a forum telling you he is a freak and in all likely hood natural - it's hard not to heed it.
Has been tested for the Myostatin deficiency from what I remember too - not sure how that played out.
Yeah, he's an IFBB pro, etc, etc. Most of us who have been following pro bodybuilding for as long as we have know the deal. It's ridiculous, impossible etc. But, his is a very particular case.Last edited by RC2008; 07-23-2015 at 03:14 PM.

I don't want this to become the Doug Miller Natty Debate 2.0 but I'm extremely doubtful. He looks like a steroid user. He competes against steroid users. What reason do we have to think he's not a steroid user?
Kai and Ronnie have both claimed to be natural when a microphone gets shoved in their face...and good on them, too. The public's too ignorant about steroids to educate over a 3-4 minute interview. They just want to represent themselves and their sport as well as possible, which is understandable.
About myostatin...it's all unconfirmed and hearsay. IIRC myostatin deficiency has only been documented in one human, and it was a 4 year old German baby. We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.

All very good points.
I guess we'll never really know, though I have zero objections to the default label of him being enhanced through the roof like the rest of them. If it looks like a duck but is really an alien from the Kepler system, then it's its own fault for trying to look like a duck. And quacking like one, no less. lol.

Yeah, to me it does look like he's not the norm. His muscle has that "double muscle" look of animals that have myo deficiency, the quality of it and the way it hangs and separates just looks odd.
Have never seen anyone else with this weird look to their muscles

I definitely think he has some type of mutation.
People say myostatin because it is the most popular in common talk, but there are several other mutations that might lead to muscle accrual. Possible mutations causing faulty ubiquitin-proteasome pathway function might prevent muscle from degrading (catabolism). Different levels of expression of MGF, autocrine/paracrine IGF, myostatin receptor mutations blocking myostatin from exerting its effect, or gene expression of faulty myostatin proteins, increased expression of follistatin proteins, it goes on and on.
I would love for someone to do testing on Michael Lockett, Phil Heath, Paul Dillet, Lee Priest and Paco Bautista. They all have some weird stuff going on with their muscles.

I wonder what Lockett looked like as a child. The myostatin baby had obvious double-muscling at a very young age, and most of these other mutations kick in right from birth.
One of the reasons I doubt Flex Wheeler had a myostatin mutation is that he was just a skinny kid before he hit the gym. Was Lockett unusually muscular before he started training? We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. Flex Wheeler also has myostatin deficiency.
Anyways, maybe Lockett turned pro as a natural but then starting using stuff afterwards. He made a good amount of progress for his pro debut. Darrem Charles also said he turned pro as a natural but then started using in order to compete in the pro ranks. It was on an old interview on PBW.

Could be, but I think people's point is that even bodybuilding on Stephanie McMahon don't look the way Lockett does. Just take HHH for example.
HHH has a great physique, but Lockett's muscle just has a different look to it. Has a really dense look to it (not saying it's actually more dense, just trying to describe what looks different about it).

I'll put it another way the mutation is called bull$hit. "I'm not on Stephanie Mcmahon, I just have a deficiency mutation." 100% lifetime drug free natural bodybuilder. If you've heard it once you've heard it a thousand times. 100% lifetime bull$hitter give me money buy my protein powder so you can look like me 100% natural lifetime bull$hitter.
