I think you're confused as to what existential crisis means haha, but to answer your question if it's like what I had where it felt like a tendon was snapping out of place with I lifted my legs it was resolved fairly well through hamstring and hip flexor stretches over a few weeks

The two most effective stretches imo were band couch stretches and I don't remember the name of the other one but it also used a band and was like a lying butterfly stretch with one leg extended and a 45 lb plate was placed on top of the bent side for 30-60 seconds then switched

Basically, depending where exactly the snapping is, you can target specific muscles for stretching. But it depends where the snapping is occurring.

This is something that you have to keep doing, frequently, and over a long period of time. So when you stop seeing a PT(and stop doing the stretches), it will act up again. You have to keep doing it.

It's likely just a tendon popping against a bone, causing the snapping, in which case the stretches can help, but u also want to make sure it's not something else, like a labral tear. There are tests that a PT can do for a torn labrum, but the surest way is an MRI.

If the stretches the pt was doing with u helped, then I would keep doing that, because the other option is surgery, which may not be worth it

Go see an orthopedic surgeon who works with athlete's and take it from there. Hopefully it's something that can be worked out with a PT

I have same symptoms. Doc wrote me an MRI and I pushed for with contrast. Showed some minor edema and a "subtle" labral tear. The bigger problem was cam impingement which can only be fixed with bone shaving. If you get mri make sure it's arthrogram.

based on what the doc and PT said i-
have a pelvis tilt leading to hip flexor tendinitis leading to the snapping hip.
    doing rehab, already better
