The answer may different based on who you ask, but no! haha...I basically did a few twilight shots included in the measley standing fee I charged regularly. The plus is it gives you houses to work on technique and add to your portfolio, so people can see what you can offer. For instance, now that I have a few nice twilight shots, I'm shooting a home tonight and charging the guy 200% what the very first house I did for him went for. Twilight shots often result in 2 trips to the home, so my time will be payed for and if they like the shots enough (which they will), they will pay for them.

    Timelapse, no. For video, yes.

Under a full moon you're probably looking at around -2EV. Even at 1.4 you'd probably need around 10 seconds at ISO 100 for a good exposure.

"For The Northern Light shots I used the Ultra Wide Sigma 20mm f/1.4 lens with shutter speed set to 1/25th, ISO at 25,600, white balance at 4800K, and the lens wide open at f/1.4. We had 3/4 moon light to light up the scene in Reykjanes Peninsula where we did the flying."

So not quite a full moon and factoring in the shutter speed for video...

    8 > 4 > 2 > 1 > 1/2 > 1/4 > 1/8 > 1/15 > 1/30
    100 > 200 > 400 > 800 > 1600 > 3200 > 6400 > 12800 > 25600

Those drones are pretty darn cool. I got to play with my first ever a couple of weekends ago. It was just the DJI Phantom 3, but was way cool to set a route and watch the flight. I really want to pick one of for chits and giggles, but at this point still need to pick up a 70-200 f/2.8. Anybody have a good source for the Nikon version?

Ugh, sometimes I get so jealous of what you and you boudoir guys do and create such beautiful pics like these and get to take pics of women with little on.

But then I realize how much I hate working with models and then ah...

Nice! But on the lower left her leg looks like it's covered in hair (or maybe it's a birth mark)

Assuming you have a camera on your phone, just start with that. It'll teach you to be creative with light, colors and content. You'll know when you need to upgrade to something with more dynamic range or control.

I noticed it too. It was the way the shadow fell on her leg (one light setup) and the way I processed it didn't help (to be honest wasn't too focused on her legs) I can assure you her legs are quite smooth!

Some shots from the Mt Belford hike, worst hike yet, I had some incredibly painful gas mixed with diarrhea, literally doubled over in pain most of the hike, so photography took a back seat.

Also a few shots from the Library a few weeks back

Heading to New York City this weekend to see my sister, haven't ever been, not big on the cities, but we will see how it goes I guess. Any recommendations Vmissle?

    Hey you glorious people!
    Sorry about the MIA thing.
Got married, and things got real for a jiff.

Also, was busy finishing the last wedding, and shooting portraits.

But, hey, here is something fun form the last weekend:

I might slide through and pick up a 5D Mark iii since I'm only interested in the picture taking aspect. It's gonna be a bargain, I feel it in my bones.

    Smart man.

These things depreciate so rapidly now that unless you're a pro you're better off buying something used with low clicks and letting pixel peeping cat photographers who need the latest and greatest take the hit.

5D3 is still wonderful, I may pick one up in about a year or so once the rebates hit since it looks like they improved the dynamic range a bit.

Anyone have experience with Canon EOS M3? Will rep for input. Looking for a camera that has AF for video, most likely mirrorless rather than like a 70D. Don't like that you can't rotate the display on the A6000, but have read some semi iffy things on the M3. Pls respond! Thanks photo brahs
