I've had pain in the front of my shoulder, it hurts when lifting things straight in front of me for example dumbbell front raises. I went to a sports medicine/shoulder speciAlist and had an mri with arthrogram and there was no damage visible. He told me to just go to the physical therapist but I have t gone for fear of it just being a waste of money. Should I get a second opinion or should I try a Chiropractor or someone else.

Having had two shoulder surgeries, if your MRI was clean, I would advise you to follow your doctor's advice and get a good physical therapist. It will definitely be worth the money. Do some research, though, in finding a physical therapist,

I'm kind of in the same position. Injured my shoulder at work, went to an ortho who sent me to physical therapy for a month, didn't help, so they extended it another month, didn't help. Went back to the ortho who sent me for an MRI which showed nothing, although he did say I had a rotator cuff tear, he didn't consider it a tear. He did some other tests and said its tendinitis of the long head of the bicep, and sent me back for another month of therapy with focus to the long head of the bicep. Almost done with my 3rd month of therapy, but still hasn't helped. I don't know what to do anymore. Therapy can help, but not all the time.

Yes, the MRI was done with arthrogram. The ortho sent me for the MRI because he thought it was an anterior labrum tear, which is what I thought it was since the day I injured it, but he went over the MRI images with me and said there was no tear.
And it's only been almost 3 months of PT, but 4 months since I injured it. I also forgot to mention that the ortho gave me a cortisone shot as well, but it didn't help any. He also has me on 800mg ibuprofen 3x a day and doesn't seem to help as well.

Well I'm supposed to follow up with the ortho once I'm done with PT, so who knows what he will say then. But I really don't think it's a rotator cuff injury as I have great range of motion, even better than average in some movements, the therapist says.
Personally, I've been wondering if it could possible be a pec major/minor tear. When I injured it, there was this intense burning sensation like inbetween the front delt and chest, like right above the armpit. Even now I still get that sometimes if I aggravate it. For example yesterday, I wanted to try those shoulder dislocation exercises I seen on here, and after I was done, my shoulder felt inflamed again in that same area. And after the 2nd month of therapy, I tried lifting again since 2 therapists said it should be ok, and benching really bothered it, and it was really inflamed in the same area. I just don't know if a pec tear would be visible from a shoulder MRI, like if the dye would leak into that part and show?
