Kai alone beats him handily in quads, hamstrings, biceps, pecs and lats.

No body part of Phil's is currently the best in the game other than his delts.
Forearms? Roelly. Triceps? Roelly. Traps? JOJ.

The combination of his parts though makes them great...other than that weird gut he has at the moment. And if Kai comes in pregnant again this year...all over for him.

Strong chest and weak arms even back then. Definitely doesn't look genetically gifted looking at him on that picture from before.

I am surprised at how a lot of pros don't look that great when not huge. I don't mean they lack muscle, but their physique is just not impressive and seems unbalanced. Certain guys (like Phil), even when much smaller, looked phenomenal. That to me is the difference between a champion and good bodybuilder.

A champion will look great even at a smaller body weight. And obviously both the champion and good bodybuilder have to be great responders to supplementation.

The pics we have from a smaller phil are at a much lower bf% than that of morel. Plus, iirc, those pics (basketball days) are focused on phil's arms and delts, which are probably his most genetically gifted bodyparts.

Plus, who knows, Juan looks like late teen early adult who is probably just messin with weights while doing the stuff kids his age do (at the time), ie, drink, party, eat pizza et.

That pic of Phil when he was playing basketball is from his days when he was highly competitive, likely trained and ate according to collegiate team protocol et. So of course he is going to be more "in shape" so to speak.

Still, I am not denying that Phil has better genetics than Juan, just that we don't know the variables surrounding their training, diet, et., at the time of these younger pics.

I agree with both of you in what you said about the comparison shots not being equal, but looking at the picture, Juan looks skinny fat with no arms to speak of. Not something I would call great bodybuilding genetics, but I guess the takeaway point is that you can never tell what someone would look like if they went on heavy gear while training.

Not a hater but I am predicting a film of water which will be magnified from the back, glute/hammy. This is based on history repeating itself.

Hope he proves me wrong. Wolf had similar issues a few years back and he found his groove for coming in shredded...can Ramy do the same? We'll see!

Just no. Genetics = response to training and drugs. Starting point means jack shit, nobody starts out jacked.

Look some photos of Markus Ruhl and Dorian Yates before they started. Would you guess they would have the potential to become monsters?

Yeah he is a skinny kid there, but this was obviously before training. My point was that early on into training, champion bodybuilders look very impressive in terms of balance, while just solid ones don't.

what are you talking about? he has nice lats here but his arms are obviously lagging, there are tons of guys who look like that yet have no business in becoming one of the greatest bodybuilders in history

He kept those proportions throughout his career is my point. Dorian was not known for his arms, but for his back. So that said, my point of seeing the potential in the guys early on I feel is pretty valid.
