    Arrow Justh8me's PharmaFreak Stack review... Time to Gain!

    Alright, just in time for my new "powerlifting" type workouts, TeamBarbarian and the awesome folks at PharmaFreak hooked me up with a new stack to log.
    And I have to say that I am pretty excited about it.

    First off, I want to thank TeamBarbarian for the opportunity to log for the PharmaFreak line. Hopefully this will be a fun and informative log!

    So it is time to get rolling!


    A little about myself:
    My current stats are 5'11", 208lbs, and I will give my current measurements tomorrow.
    My current routine is a modified Bill Starr 5x5. I am looking to push myself until I feel as though I could compete in a powerlifting meet. (weather I actually do a meet or not is still to be seen)
    I have a very long way to go, but am starting the journey by pushing as quickly as I can to a 1150lb overall on the big 3. I'm not too far from that now, and am hoping this PharmaFreak stack can help push me over as quickly as possible.

    My current 1 rep maxes are as followes:
    Bench - 300lbs
    Squat - 365lbs
    Dead - 365lbs (weak I know, but my form is terrible and am working to get this up asap) I have pulled 420 before, but that was wearing straps.

    So that is my starting point, and hoping to hit some nice PR's during this log. Lets see what happens.

    I will post some pics of the product, and mix-ability etc. after tomorrows workout.

    I did give it all a go this morning, but it was supposed to be a rest day for me, and I went at 4:45am so I was extremely sore and tired. So I will hold off on my initial review until tomorrows normal workout. But I will say this, even being completely wiped out I still got in a really good workout, and had enough energy to push right through with that SF in me. Great start.


    How I will be taking the product:
    I will be starting off by using
    1 scoop of the Sf pre-workout.
    1 Scoop Af pre-workout.
    1 Scoop Cf pre-workout, and 1 scoop post-workout.
    And see how that works out.

    Other supplements that I will be taking during this log are a Whey Isolate, and 1 Animal Pak per day in the am.

    Well, that is about it for the intro, hope you all enjoy the log and don't hesitate to critique any part of it. Lets make some GAINS!!!!!

    Alright, today was Medium weight day, but I felt so good that I had to go for a couple of PR's while I was there.
    And I hit both!! So a good first full day with the new stack if I do say so myself.

    Here is the log, followed by the initial review.

    Medium Weight Day



    After both the Squat and the Bench I did 1 more PR set.
    Squat I hit 385 x 2 (previous PR was 365 x 1).
    Bench PR was 305 x 1 (previous PR was 300 x 1) Not a huge jump, but it also went up much easier than the 300 did when I hit that.

    I was supposed to do some arm work today after the 3 main lifts, but I ran out of time, and had some issues at work that I had to attend to. All in all I felt great today!

    Initial Review



    First up is the Super Freak -
    So far so good. I felt great today. Very focused, a good amount of energy without the jitters, and plenty of endurance to make it through.

    Taste: 7.5/10
    Energy: 8.5/10
    Pump: ??
    Focus: 9/10

    Taste - was good, not to sweet, and not tart like some fruit punches I have had. It is actually pretty good. The only issue I had with it was that it has that thicker/smoothie type feel and taste to it. But it does not mess with the flavor much, it is still really good.

    Energy - like I said is really good. I was pumped up the entire time and never felt sluggish or warn down. And it was another early morning training day so it definitely did its job in this department.

    Pump - I really didn't do much today that would have shown me the amount of pump you can get, as I did not get to work my arms like I wanted to. So I will have to update this one on my next workout.

    Focus - Again, this was really good. I was focused the entire time and was just really into the workout overall. This was about the best part so far for me.




    Next up is the Amino Freak -
    This stuff tastes amazing!


    Taste: 9.5/10
    Mix-Ability: 9.5/10


    Taste - This stuff was great. One of those supps where you get disappointed every day when you are done with it.

    Mix-Ability - About perfect. Mixed up quick as could be and had no grittiness whatsoever.

    The ingredients in this are awesome. 3.3g amino's, 2g Glutamin, carnitine, etc. etc. Really gives you everything you need!



    Last is the Creatine Freak -


    Mix-ability - Mixed up great. I was actually pretty impressed. A lot of Mono's stay pretty gritty, and leave a nasty medicine type aftertaste. But not this stuff, mixed right up, and no taste at all. (unflavored) I am really happy with this so far. Can't wait to see the results.

    Here is Saturday's workout. It was an Aux day:




    Done... One thing I learned is that the pump is great with the SF! the first six sets were super sets. So I would go from bi to tri, bi to tri. And at one point it felt like my arms were going to pop. By the time I moved to the row, I could bend my arms about half way because of the pump lol. Great stuff.

    Today's log:


    Notes:
    Had a buddy that wanted to start working out join me today, so I was taking a little longer breaks than normal (not fluffing off, just from alternating weights etc)
    I did try to push some bigger PR's but no go. I went for 405 on the squat and had to get some assistance getting back up.
    I went for 310 on the bench, and pushed through, but my spotter said he did wrap his fingers around the bar at one point so not going to count it. (although I think it was clean)
    I was not feeling too great overall today. I'm not a fan of doing my heavy day at 5:30 on Monday morning, I'm always stiff and just not as able to lift as hard as I want.
    But I can tell you that this stack is defenitely helping with this issue. The SF is keeping me well focused, and also giving me plenty of energy to push through. So far I am really liking it.






    Done... Probably going to see about changing my days up a bit, just so that I can workout with this buddy of mine. He has taken about 2 years off of really lifting, and I want to help him get back at it. Problem is he can only do the mornings........ Man I hate mornings lol.

    Super Freak -
    Wanted to update this with my pump rating so far.


    Taste: 7.5/10
    Energy: 8.5/10
    Pump: 8.5/10
    Focus: 9/10
    Overall: 8.37/10

    Pump - First real arm day pump was crazy good. As I roll along in this log I see the score for pump prob. going up depending on the chest/back pumps I get when I do more aux work on those areas.

    Focus - Again, this was really good. I was focused the entire time and was just really into the workout overall. This was about the best part so far for me.

    Overall - Obviously the taste brought the score down a little for me, as none of the other scores are less than an 8.5 so far. The product is really solid so far.

    Alright, today was and Aux day. So we decided to go with arms with a splash of back.

    Notes:
    Just like last time, everything was done as supersets until you get to the rows.
    Going to look at some other options for the triceps, as my gym only has dbells upto 120lbs, and the cable machine only goes to 100lbs, so I can either change up my routine a bit, or start doing more reps with what we have. I will more than likely go to close grip bench presses and skull crushers instead.





    After the workout drank my post workout, and then did a 5 min walk at around 4 on the treadmill. and then Done.
    I felt really good today, I really could have kept going, that SF really gets you in the mood to work. Really liking it so far.

    Today was Light Day.


    Notes:
    Alright, I may have a problem with a disc in my lower back. It has always hurt when I did deadlifts in the past, but the last few times it makes it hard to breath and the left side of my lower back has a nice size lump in it when I get done lifting. Hurts like crazy. So I was supposed to do some shoulder work after the main 3 lifts, but it was killing me to bend over to get the weight off the bar. Anyway, here is the log.




    And here is a video of my deadlifts. If anyone has a critique, please let me know. I did notice when watching it back that I hold the weight, and bend my back with it on the way down, maybe if I just let it drop more and just hold the bar?? Not sure, but never going to hit the 450 milestone if I can barely get 315 X 5 without dropping.
    You can see at the end of the video that I don't even bend over to stop the video, instead I had to grab the rack and bend at the legs.
    An hour after working out I feel almost fine though. Still a little pinch when I bend all the way over, but nothing major.




    On a better note, I felt really good today strength, energy, and focus wise. So far the SF has been treating me very well.

    Light accessory day today.


    Notes:
    Even with the lower weights, my back was not happy. I could not do a second set of the leg curls because it was not good at all. Tomorrow is supposed to be a medium weight day, but I might end up just doing some other accessory type work.
    I could not sleep last night, so I didn't pass out until around 12:30, and then up at 4:45 to hit the gym. Straight up exhausted lol. I ended up doing a scoop and a half today of the SF. It did its job, and got me through the workout. Think I am going to have to bail on my gym partner, and go back to doing my afternoon sessions.
    The bench press was done as 1-3 second pause reps and the first and third sets were done with the slingshot. Felt really strong on the bench today.

    Friday: Medium Day


    Notes:
    Felt great today, really strong feeling. Only tried to PR on the bench, the rest of the time I just did what was on my schedule. Everything went great.
    1 Scoop of SF and I was focused and really on point today. Only issue was with time. I didn't get in the Assistance Exercises. Working out with a partner is taking more time than I am used to. Need to figure it out, and kick our butts into gear.





    Done. Again felt great and the SF is doing its job very nicely.

    Here is Saturdays work, was just an accessory day. We are changing the working days up to be Tues. Thurs. Sat. starting this week, so today will be another accessory day.


    Notes:
    Felt really good saturday. Focus is really good with the SF, and pump is good as well. I don't feel as much energy as I do with other stims, but it gets the job done.
    I did not get it recorded so will just have to go by memory, (and mine is not too good lol)


    Deficit dead lifts (from about 4-5 inch deficit) 135x8 185x8 185x8

    Shoulder shrugs with deadlift lock out. (shoulder shurgs but pull as if doing a lock out on your deads) 135x25 135x20 135x25

    Done, all in all a pretty good workout. We only had an hour so we tried to fit in as much as we could. Still using 1 scoop Sf, 1 scoop Sc, and 1 Scoop Sa Pre, and then 1 scoop Sc post as well.

    Today's log: Just an accessory day so worked on arms and a little back.


    Notes:
    Didn't have to go to the gym early today, instead I was able to go about 3pm. Which was a good change. I felt really good and focused. (thanks Sf)
    The workout was pretty much as is today. Felt strong, and WOW was the pump crazy. I was actually hurting a bit from the forearm pump I got. It was crazy, loved every minute. The pump rating is definitely going up on the Sf!







    After this I went and drank my post shake/creatine, and went back in and did an 8 minute interval walk/run. Then finished with 3 sets of incline sit-ups with 10 pound medicine ball. Then Done.... Again I felt really strong through out. Really good day. Tomorrow is my Medium lifting day, and I might try for some PR's while I am at it. Too bad it will be another 5:30am training day hahaha.

    Notes:
    Felt great today. My workout buddy was a bit late, so I was able to jump right in and start doing work. Plenty of energy, and my strength felt pretty solid. I really wanted to try and PR on my squat today, but with the back issues I have been having I thought it best to leave for another day. Prob try for Saturday. The Sf is working great for me. Again the pumps are pretty crazy. Everything on the log today is pretty much as is. The only thing is the last bench set was done with the sling shot just to overload a bit.






    Done after this. Off tomorrow so I will see you all on Thursday!

    My off day. Weird to because I know I need the day off, but man I feel like I should be in the gym lol.
    Thought to myself "well maybe I can go do a little cardio" but then I thought "baaaahahahahahahahahaha"

    One thing that changed with this is that I started out with the Deads today instead of waiting until the end. I did go for a Dead PR and was stoked and really let down at the same time. I had 405 on and it was going up pretty easy and my hands slipped off the bar and I dropped it. So I have to get some chalk for the old gym bag.







    Done. Didn't have my gym partner again today, and was able to work out in the mid morning, and man its much better having that extra sleep time in the morning hahaha.

    Notes:
    PR on the Bench today, getting closer to that 1150 baby!!!
    Alright, todays log has a few notes to go along with it. JEFIT is an awesome app, but it does not have every exercise on it, So instead of creating a new one I just use a similar and then tell you here how I changed it up lol.
    Barbell squat to bench - I use plyo boxes instead of a bench, a little higher than a bench, but works well for me.
    Bench press - I actually did Spoto presses today (stop about 1 1/2 from chest, pause, and then press) Worked on this because the bottom of my press is where I need the most work.
    The last Bench on there was my PR, and was done as a normal paused bench, not a spoto. I just felt really good after the spoto's and thought I would give it a shot. Wish I would have went for 315 now because it went up pretty well.
    Machine Fly looks light because the fly machine was being used, so I had to settle for this cable fly deal that my gym has, and man it was wrecking my shoulder so I did not push it.
    Isometric Chest Squeeze (Svend Press) was done with pressing 2 5lb plates togeather. I love the Svend Press as a finishing move, really pumps the chest up.






    Done! felt great today, really focused, energy was good, and plenty of pump in that chest. Already starting to run a little low on the Super Freak as it is a 20 serving tub if you take a full scoop like my stim-junkie self does.
    Still have a solid week, week and a half left though. Thumbs up on everything so far!

    Notes:
    I did not get through everything Saturday because I ran out of time, I also was trying to PR on bot exercises. AND I DID!!!!
    Hit 405 on my skwaat, and 315 on my bench. Going to hit my Dead PR this week. Just not sure if I will try it today, or Saturday.
    You will also see that I did the final set of squats at 255 x 1, that is because I started the set with no knee wraps on, and my knee was feeling it. So I just stopped after the first one. My new knee sleeves came in on Saturday though, so hopefully that will help me out.





    Done, like I said I was out of time. I get to go back to my normal schedule in a couple of weeks so I will be able to get everything in that I want to again. Down to just a few scoops left of the Sf.
    So this log will be coming to and end over the next week. I will post my final thoughts, and then a nice review once it is completed.

    JEFIT I use the app on my phone during the workouts, super easy to use. I do all of the creating etc. on the website though much easier to put it all together that way. Been using it for several years. Very user friendly.

    Oh well, 405 felt great.

    Felt great for the whole workout. Same as always, 1 scoop Af, 1 (heaping) scoop of Sf, and 1 scoop Cf pre, and 1 scoop Cf with my Protein post. Still really enjoying the stack. Good stuff!

    Thanks swoosh, hope you have a great start to your week as well. And yeah that pump was crazy today. Collar was messed up on my shirt after my shower and I had to fight to bend my arm to fix it lol.

    Today was supposed to be heavy day....


    Notes:
    Sore, and not feeling strong at all today.
    The sit-ups were done last not before the deads.
    Deads were not supposed to be today, but my gym partner has not done any of the dead days since we started so he wanted to do those instead of rows. So I went with it. Tried to hit 415 but didn't make it. Didn't feel to bad about it, just did deads yesterday, and we were using a terrible bar. But no excuses lol.
    Also failed on the 315x1 bench, so it did not count.
    Everything was as is.






    Done. I only have about 2 - 2 1/2 more days left, so hopefully we will get in a few good ones. Tomorrow is rest day, and I am going to rest lol (well actually having some bedroom furniture delivered so will prob be lifting that around all day until the wife is happy with placement ahhahahaha.)

    Thursday and Friday logs. And I am out of product. It has been a good log. I will have the final review out shortly, and then post one up in the review section.


    Thursday - Medium day


    Notes:
    Only notes for this one is that instead of seated barbell press, we did the shoulder leverage press instead. And we did the incline bench on the smith machine as the normal bench was taken.






    Done after that. Was a pretty good day, felt really strong on the incline.




    Friday - Acc/leg day


    Notes:
    Everything is as is for this one, was just a good overall accessory day. This was prob the last week with a gym partner, so I let him pretty much pick the exercises for this one.
    All in all a pretty good day.







    Done. And this one used up the last of my BCAA's and my SF. So I will post up a final review later. Thanks to everyone who followed along. And thanks again to the PharmaFreak team for letting me do this log!
