I voted for Arnold. It's very close, both men are comparable in chest size and pectoral development. But I think ultimately Arnold had a more balanced and evened-out chest. Ronnie's chest, particularly in his later years, tended to sag a bit.
By the way, if you don't like the pics, post your own! We're dodging more ninjitsu attacks than Flex Wheeler. We're ducking more bullets than George Farah. We're facing more death than a kid leg pressing at Branch Warren's gym.

Colemans.
I'm not even guna try and be neutral and say its close. Ronnies chest smashes Arnolds.
If Arnolds arms delts and traps were as big as Colemans, his chest wouldn't be as impressive as it is.
But Ronnie has arguably the best delts bi's traps of all time, and still his chest is fukin insane.
Of course this is all my opinionLast edited by ResovoirDog; 04-03-2011 at 01:07 PM.

Arnie was apparently able to balance a pint glass on his chest when he did a side chest pose.
This blows my mind.
That said, I think Ronnies is probably a bit better, but this is maybe due to Ronnie in competition having lower BF, so the striations are more noticable.
In Arnold's book he talks about going onstage at around 8pc bodyfat, if that was done today the competitor wouldnt even place.
Thats the evolution of the sport i guess

Can not believe that Arnold is winning this thread.. the thickness difference is laughable ... The oak does have a great chest, but ****.. we are talking about the GOAT here..
Might as well compare Franco's back with Ronnie and vote for Franco while where at itInstagram @drsuperdose

Lets be reality here. Arnold was genetically superior to Ronnie. Though Ronnie had more access to enhancers and bombarded with growth supps by his sponsers but....
Ronnie is 5'10" 1/2....Arnold was 6'2".....With both of them standing relaxed ons tage in their prime, Arnold's pecs were as wide as Ronnie's delts were. Arnold's pecs were so incredibly wide. Maybe Ronnie's were thicker or as thick but honestly nowhere near as wide.
I say Arnold was genetically superior because Ronnie at age 22-27 was a baby compared to Arnold ages 22-27....If Arnold had the supps and the PE's of today he would obviously of been bigger overall than Coleman....But Arnold maxed his pecs out....His pecs were a glimpse at how superior he was genetically over mankind. unfortunately he gave up on the sport well before the rest of his body had a chance to catch up with his chest/biceps/lats/traps

Ronnie is a mass monster but arnold had that amazing symmetry that just made his physique something to be admired. Big Ron is Awesome his chest is huge but there's very little if anything in the way symmetrical balanced proportion. Look at the early pic of ron now that's what i'm talking about but i guess modern body building is so competitive these days size is king.
ps so yes arnold simply because his chest was symmetrical well balanced to the rest of his upper body .

In my opinion its so clear cut that Ronnie wins, that I don't even know why its being debated.
I'd be happy debating who had a better chest out of Victor martinez or Arnold.
And I'd still go with Victor.
Front lat spread his pecs flare up like a tsunami. Side chest he gets that crazy cut across the middle.
Side tri it hangs it just hangs off like crazy.
And most muscular his upper pecs are like a shelf.
