Yea, I do low bar since I spent too many years doing quad dominant chit, and to help strengthen posterior chain.
I actually feel better doing high bar / front squats! But my leverages are unfavorable for squatting...long ass femurs. Took me forever to figure out how to stop doing good mornings in the bottom of low bar squat.

Watching the vid Ejnar! Will edit post with thoughts after...
Edit:
** Never realized Layne and I have similar leverages (short torso, long femurs). Too little information for us out there!
*** This vid made me realize I've been overcompensating breaking at the hips. For a long time, I had an issue leading with my knees, so I focused on some hip extension stuff and have been focusing on extending from there first...so now my knees are breaking too late. Going to write in the cue to sit back and shove knees out at the same time.
**** Instead of trying to stay upright, will allow myself to lean from the beginning so that maybe bar path will improve.
Very valuable vid, thanks EjnarLast edited by missladyj; 07-05-2016 at 11:49 AM.

I'm glad it might have helped MLJ. Only problem with that video is it didn't have the boss super training intro musix.

You ever watch or listen to the Mark Bell powercast? Hilarious. The ish, with Layne and Paul is 111.
The series with Ed Coan was 10/10. The accesory and deadlift vids were so good. The most important aspect of weight training; whether for the athlete, bodybuilder, or average person is to better ones health and ability without injury. - Bill Pearl

Ejnar hola! Only got to see half of the Layne video... The "For the Ladies" image in our op rickrolled us! A mod can help us delete it if you like or we can leave it. I checked your journal the other day and saw mention of more of those skin treatments. I have itchy splotches on my arms that break out due to light sensitivity once a year up north. They might be with me for a while longer down here. I have to see someone about that. Can't even imagine what it must be like for you.

Krete, I'm in FL now. I watched the replay of Boston's fireworks on tv. I love how they play music on speakers up and down the Charles and choreograph the explosions to match the music. Where I went there was no music.

And Ammex, thanks for the fruit bat tip. I haven't done anything about that yet.

We saw two large gators across the pond a few days ago. I've got relatives here so that was a bit of excitement for my cousin's 6-yr old son. I got to swim in the pool with him for a while. So sweet he is.

MissLadyJ, I peeped your Instagram. Looking great! Partial response incoming

I'm a tiny bit out f shape right now but I should be back on track within a few weeks. An issue with a tooth had me settling for high calorie soft foods at times and I had no time for myself while I was away/no gym time. After these relatives leave I'll return to my regular gym schedule.start where you are

I was rereading my links to the Minnesota starvation study info last night. Creepy how much of that stuff went down with me after the mega cut ending 2011. And it's not liek I was a rational dieter/eater to begin with like the men in that study.

made a post on ******** to find the owners and it got like 500 shares in a relatively small town and still nobody stepped forward. Poor pupper might have been ditched on purpose. :'[

He's massive! Strong / healthy-looking dog, it appears. Any more pics?
Sad that someone could just ditch him like that, but it's good he found someone who appears more than willing to make him fam
do you mean doggo as in dog, or dogo as in Argentinian dogo?! He looks big enough to be one...but coat says bull dog.Last edited by missladyj; 07-07-2016 at 09:24 AM.

Made a goal to hit 215lbs x 1 in deadlifts by yesterday...managed to pull off 5 reps, 4 of them double overhand. This is the heaviest I've been able to pull at this weight (~150lbs).
Trying to get back to 235lbs, but I was ~170lbs when able to pull that.

Oh, and still keto...so much for not being able to pull heavy without carbs!
Team no calves
Guess it's time to start doing direct calf work.
