No! I won't let you use reverse psychology to get me lean!
I'll just use an old photo showing you how tiny my waist is and how my thumbs just sink into my love handles.
Apologies for back hair.
Edit:
By the way, I believe your core strength has little to do with how big your hips are, but how strong your muscles ligaments and tendons are(kinda common sense). Therefore a person with a tiny waist can be much more "brute" than a guy that has child bearing hips.
But I'm bias.
It is possible though that a guy with a bigger frame has more potential however. Most elite's have thick wrists, big ass hands, massive frame, yadda yadda.

All these pics reminds me, I've got a new one too. New avi soon.
I can't sleep. Increased level of activity and careful dieting causing it.
Anyways. I set 2 PRs this week. Bench went from 95lbs to 110lbs. OHP went from 70lbs to 85lbs.
Suffering movements are squats and DLs. My back still hasn't healed. I'm beginning to think I was misdiagnosed. =/Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;

Post mega cut I was surprised how much came back muscle wise in short period, I think it was same thing. I do know I never had much LBM back when I was in morbid mode, I've always been smaller. LMAO, my "little" brother (6'8") gives me a hug I feel like a kid, he takes after my dad, pretty large framed.
Wondering now what took me so long. I'm liking it just fine.
Sounds like you are just hangry. You could see if a small snack helped you, doesn't take much food.

Told you it was going to take forever to heal.
You probably had quite a lot of LBM when you were in morbid mode, since like 30% or so of weight gain during obesity/morbidly obese comes in the form of LBM.
With all the different types of muscle memory it's bound to return quickly if a lot of it is lost during weight loss and on top of that you have noob gains etc. if there hasn't been proper muscle stimuli before. My story going from obese to fit while battling daily chronic headaches:

Morning all!
Znik....love all your pics but all I keep thinking is poor Rita...LOL Every new vein that shows up, she cries a little, huh! You're getting close.
Muzzie....Cap is a lifetime member so she pays nothing. As a ww member (former right now) I can tell you it's more about the support and motivation you get from others (much like our group here) than the actual program...though I'm a big fan of it and what it's doing for people. It really teaches people to eat normally...just count it (just like CICO but with lower numbers).
I'm still hanging in on my diet break....2500 cals. Bodymedia armband says I'm burning 2575 so I'm right on target. Weight fluctuated up a bit earlier in the week...no idea why...but dropped back down so I'm still stable. Monday will end week 9 and just 3 more to go. Starting cut on Sept 7th. Ironically, my son leaves for college on Sept 4th so....it seems fitting that I'll be miserable LOL.
Lifting today. Work (1 house) and my honey is finally home from Saco!!! Except...the other driver at his work had a heart attack and will be out for ??? who knows so my husband will be working 7 nights a week (4-11:30 pm). Yay. NOT He may have coverage for 2 of the nights. Here's hoping.
I have no updated pictures to show but I will try to take some decent ones (totally bad at selfies) when this experiment is over. I feel like I've gained some good muscle and lost some fat so that's good.
Anyway....rambling....have a good day all!Kristen

She probably does indeed, but I think she is warming up a tiny bit, at least she doesn't go EWWWWW and look away anymore, that's a good sign right ?
No super blurry potato pics though.
Should be possible for a giant like you indeed. Obesity mode is fun though! My story going from obese to fit while battling daily chronic headaches:

Word
Its not that bad though. 160 isnt that heavy, think you caught yourself befor it will be hard to make your way back.
@znik speaking if caffiene detox, its time for me. Have to rekember to buy some more decaf on the way home today. Will cut intake by about 75%. Im currently just drinking lemon crystal light, no caff soda so that part is easy.
So much for keto. I cant eat enough potassium this summer to make it work. Its annoying as other than that it works well.

My brother is a natural just like my sister. I'm starting to seriously think I was adopted or different dad. Because no one really has curly hair like me. I've been training him forgot how well he adapts. Got some shoulder and chest striations showing when lifting. Will get better pics next time. And his beard is twice more full than mine
I will have him squatting 405 in less than a year. He's trained before though. Highschool football. Never trained after that though. 3 weeks I'm

Is it due to all of the fluids you've been losing? I had to up the carbs, kept feeling dizzy when standing. Keto is winter time, locked away in the house friendly diet imo lol. Feeling good at 120g carbs. Less than 1600 calories some day but still increasing lifts.
Maybe I'm having a mini noob gain phase from being a lazy ass and letting my muscles atrophy haha

Two people in my brothers office are on a keto diet as a lifestyle choice...as in year yound. Typically that doesn't work out too well. Someone is doing a paleo diet (doesn't he know paleo is SO last year?!) Two vegans and another weird diet person. There's only two normies there including my brother.

Forgot to reply to this.
Too much fat, can't see the tiny waist. Shred the fat and then post.
I wasn't talking about actual strength, was referring to to the viewpoint of tiny vs big waist/core. Big looks stronger than tiny narrow waist imo.
Big frame/bones and whatnot does seem to bring more potential in terms of brute strength, but then again you also have those tiny framed people lifting insane amounts. My story going from obese to fit while battling daily chronic headaches:

Yup, the short ones are annoying I have some. You will also see the regulation plates marked in 450mm which is same as 17 3/4" kmac.
Call the place you are going to buy plates and ask them what the diameter is. Link is for comparison, and these are sized 450 mm

Yep, last time I was in cal seemed there were many overly skin and bones people. Lots of women with zero muscle mass and just ridiculously thin. Way more than I have seen in the past. Grrr That's what I was afraid of. I'm going to go to my local Dick's sporting good store and get them from there so I can see what I'm getting. It's tax free weekend here in MA too so....that'll save me a couple bucks.
Bodymedia armband recorded my sleep as 8hrs 26 mins and 98% efficiency. And I'm only having a rest day today...kind of wished I was lifting with that energy. LOL
Bday party, work tonight. And wrapping up week 9 data.Kristen

Mirrin sleep skills.
It's kinda sad we have gone from height check to wideness check.
Learned a new fetish today, Cardiophilia.
what is cardiophilia?
cardiophilia (n) - an has an erotic fixation to the human heart/cardiovascular system; a heart fetish
cardiophiles are people who are, quite simply, in love with hearts. they enjoy and are aroused by the sight, sound, and/or feeling of the heart/heartbeat. the cardiophilia fetish also encompasses the auscultation kink (listening to body sounds, mainly heart sounds, with ear or stethoscope) and pulse kink (feeling blood moving in any of the body’s veins or arteries) and is sometimes associated with blood kink and other medical and anatomy kinks as well.Last edited by Znik; 08-16-2015 at 06:21 AM.

It is sad.
All around me people are unhealthy. Except my dad. My dad was athletic in highschool and in the Navy....got unhealthy for a few years and smoked..then just decided to quit one day....just like that. 22 years ago. He was 50. Joined a gym...Started lifting heavy (that's when I joined him, too) and has never looked back. He eats super healthy. Walks and lifts (though he's not squatting anymore he leg presses and uses more machines but he was once in the 225 bench club ). He's 73. Just a bit of HBP and cholesterol (age related).
My mom had a heart attack 5 years ago....quit smoking...had a stroke 4 years ago....full recovery mostly but still doesn't walk! She CAN walk but doesn't. Not even walk! She says she hates it. She's 73 and not nearly in as good health as my dad and it frustrates her. But she doesn't do much about it.
My sisters are over 400 lb (by a lot) and 1 is not too bad yet the other has diabetes, etc....
My brother is big...no idea how much because he's over 6ft tall .....he eats terrible.....zero exercise and still smokes....Had a heart attack a few years ago (he's only 48 now) and HBP and diabetes and all the other things that happen. Acid reflux terrible....Still doesn't change his life.
I am surrounded by the most stubborn people in the world because they all think it's about how you look....vanity!
I'll admit, I started this journey in 2012 (though I've been on many adventures with weight loss since I had kids in 1997...was thin before that) with the idea that I wanted to look better and not fat.
I've since completely shifted to healthy exclusively (and a side effect is that I do look better). I want to be mobile and independent and not have to worry about obesity (read FOOD) related illnesses. It's such a no brainer for me....I want to scream at everyone in my family how selfish they are all being. They have kids and grandkids that will be devastated without them. Why wouldn't you do every single thing with in your power to be here and healthy for as long as you can be????
Sorry...the seat thing threw me into this place. LOL
TL/DR eat healthy, walk and lift for your family and yourselfKristen
