I do about 6 days per week... but muscle groups get 2 full days rest during it, so it works for me.
M- Back, Bi
T- Chest, Shoulder, Tri
W- Legs, Abs
Th- Same as M
F- Same as T
S- Same as W
Su- Rest
*** Keep in mind though, with this schedule I haven't been lifting crazy hard or anything. If you were lifting very heavy and intense, it wouldn't be very practical to do 3 muscle groups on one day like my T and F...
The main reason I like this is because many of the lifts I do compliment the target and synergist muscles that I do on that day...

I don't believe in a 7 day split, because there's no rest/recovery time. Maybe you separate the bodyparts, but most all exercises can utilize either the back or core. That's a lot of fatigue. To break a plateau, I could see you mixing it up, but 7 days allows for minimal repair IMO.

More doesn't always mean better. Your muscles do not grow during your work outs. You are only tearing them at that time. They grown during healing times between work outs. If you do not allow muscles the proper time to heal then you are guilty of what is called over-training, and in fact that can cause you to lose muscle. Some people find unique ways to try 7 day per week cycles, however my suggestion would be a 4-5 day routine followed by a good 48 hours of rest with no weight training. Allow your muscles ample time to heal and grow. Here is the split I use.
Sunday: Off
Monday: Bi, Tri, Forearms, Abs, cardio
Tuesday: Shoulders/Traps, cardio
Wednesday: cardio
Thursday:Chest/Back, cardio
Friday: Legs, cardio
Saturday: Off****************************************************

like i said if the volume is kept very low like 1 work set per exercise and 2-3 exercises per day, it can be done. but you cant go 7 days a week forever you will eventually need time for rest.
edit: you'd probably need time off every few weeks
read about this guy dr size
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/becker27.htm
he curled 315 for 5 reps, and benched over 800 pounds, and his method of training was training the same bodypart for 8-10 days straight and then taking 2-3 days off rest. now sure this wont work for everyone, but why dont you try telling this guy that it doesnt work and that he's "uneducated"Last edited by Sockomalo; 03-03-2007 at 10:19 AM.

When I said "I thought we", I was taking about the thread starter and everyone else, not just you. And yes I can read. I read that crap you said about half assing it so you could lift 7 days straight. That was pure ****.
Why not do it right and take the needed rest days and quit making stupid **** up.
To the guy who said he does lift 7 days no rest, whatever. The top trainers in the world would never tell someone to follow a split like that. You say it works for you, keep doing it, I don't give a rats ass. I would never tell anyone to train on a split like that and can't think of anyone who would, except you.
