Just got back from business trip. One week boys, it is almost time. Not as big of a deal now that Aldo is off but still a great night of fights.
I want Mendes to win though I think he gets starched and I want Rory to win and think he will (fuk all yall Rory haters)
Hoping for a good Thatch rebound fight too

Fuarkin IN. This card is gonna be siiiiick As far as Mendes vs. Mcgregor... may the best man win....mcgoat has been talking and foreseeing him being champion for years... now this is his chance to prove to the world that he is the real deal... not to him.. but to US....that he is the true champion. Can Mendes upset his "destiny"?
we shall see Saturday night.
As far as lawler vs. rory... i am team rory for sure... but lawler is one scary ****ing dude and he will put you to sleep so there is absolutely no room for mistakes with this guy... another amazing fight going down ... Saturday night!!!Visionaries Never Fail.

Man, I can't wait for this fight. It seems like July 11 is a long time away. Finally the man with the funny accent is going to be on his back and his face is going to get dismantled. When is July 11 again?

I'm gonna go ahead and say you've never in grappling for second in your life if you think this clip illustrates poor tdd. Clearly he is allowing himself to be taken down so that he can work on positioning in the event that he does get taken down in the fight.
I wonder if the UFC picked Mendes over Edgar because they think Mendes will be more likely to stand and trade giving McGreggor a better chance and making for a more exciting fight.no crew crew

Except almost every fighter would grab the cage in that position, unless they are setting up a sub, yes its a foul but how many times have you seen a ref take a point away? These dudes try to get away with as much as possible, one cage grab wouldn't result in a loss of a point, but it could prevent a take down.

I can't even imagine how much damage Mendes will do to the UFC if he beats McGoat.
Brb "1 million dollar commercial." wasted.
Brb invested who know how much money into Aldo-McGoat world tour.
Brb biggest PPV in recent years down the drain.
Brb fans robbed of the biggest fight in 145 division's history.
Brb Aldo-Mendes 3 so soon.
Brb McGoat hype train derailed.

Psyched for this card.. I have no problem dishing out cash for this. Of course Aldo/McGregor would've been more exciting.. but as a Team Alpha Male nut hugger I am excited for the new main event. I'm even psyched for the prelims!
Agreed. I would like to see refs be more strict about this, especially if it looks like the takedown is clearly going to happen. I understand it's a reflex, but a takedown can easily lead to significant things.. to get away with grabbing the cage when a guy clearly won't be able to legally prevent it is ridiculous. My life feels like a never ending journey of fighting morons.. every single day.

Holy **** there are some great fights. Everyone is talking about the Conor fight, but Lawler vs Macdonald is there too. And Thomas Almeida vs Brad Pickett & Jeremy Stephens vs Dennis Bermudez are my picks for FOTN
