Power Rack: Rogue R3 shorty version $695
Bench: Iron Master Super Bench $300
Bar: Burgener & Rippetoe Men's Bar $295(not sure if I should get this or one of Rogues bars)
Plates: Body Solid grey Olympic 255 pound set $290 with free shipping
Is there any better equipment I can buy for the same price or cheaper? and also what type of plywood should I use to bolt the rack down?, I've read some aren't strong enough to hold the rack down.

Not a huge fan of the IM Super Bench...it's pretty darn tall in the flat position. Check out Rep Fitness' FID bench: http://www.repfitness.com/rep-fid-adjustable-bench?

what type of lifting are you going to do with the bar? I would go with rogue, there bar quality is at the top of the game and priced near the bottom. The ohio power bar is awesome, and the ohio bar is an awesome deal as well.
I like rogues new adjustable bench, that thing is awesome, sturdy stable, perfect height, heavy to at 125lbs. Good price compared to others of the same quality, but not sure if its out of your price range if your wanting a cheap half crappy bench.
you would probably save on shipping if you get everything from rogue at freight. and make up the difference in price for the bench.
id probably look at craigslist for plates though, unless you want real nice plates like Yorks, Ivankos or Eleikos.Best Raw total 1850 at 181 lbs

As everyone else has mentioned that bench is tall, 21" or about 3-4" taller than most other flat benches. I had to use a 4 x4 under my feet to touch with more than my toes. I have a bunch of attachments for my Iron Master bench, but mainly just use it for decline presses and decline sit ups now. I picked up a Cybex bench that I press with flat or inclines.
If you are already ordering a rack from Rogue I would just go with one of their bars if it would save on shipping. I can't remember if they ship bars on pallet or not though.

No. You can get a plate loaded lat pulldown brand new for less from many sources.
I would also look for your plates locally. For over a dollar a pound you should be able to get something a whole lot nicer than the Body Solids or something of similar quality for less.[]---[] Equipment Crew Member No. 11
