I know the 14th and could care less if gays can marry but you obviously don't understand the future ramifications and precedents set because of this decision. I don't believe that I see a Ron Paul supporter who is happy that States just lost a whole lot of power to their overlords.

I think you need to revisit the fundamentals of libertarianism. If you are a "true" libertarian then you would applaud the liberties given to gays with this decision. No liberties were revoked only gained.

But since we live in a republic we need to examine this within our confines. The 14th amendment came about for good reason: states have no right to infringe on the liberty of citizens. The federal government has the duty to keep the states in check. The 14th amendment was ratified for good reason; leaving the states uncheck via the 10th amendment was not working.
