I think you need to revisit the fundamentals of libertarianism. If you are a "true" libertarian then you would applaud the liberties given to gays with this decision. No liberties were revoked only gained.

But since we live in a republic we need to examine this within our confines. The 14th amendment came about for good reason: states have no right to infringe on the liberty of citizens. The federal government has the duty to keep the states in check. The 14th amendment was ratified for good reason; leaving the states uncheck via the 10th amendment was not working.

Cheeky government using this as a disguise of a win for freedoms. Meanwhile stopping freedoms. States rights were lost. They showed the people that the supremes court decided what's best for the populous. They showed one thing. No matter what you vote It doesn't matter. If they decide it's wrong or right it will
Be law. Welcome to communism 101. People say oh your being stupid. But this is how it goes. Strip away freedoms pretending to help the people.
They're taking away your "freedom" to restrict others' freedoms.

Your rights end where the rights of others begin. In this case, gays' right to marry doesn't infringe on any of your rights. Sorry about communism taking away your "freedom" to discriminate.

    no that is not why,

does anybody realize that it was the catholic church that instituted the sacrament of marriage.

I believe it's the politicians that keep gay marriage a hot topic because they think Americans will forget how chitty the economy is arguing over something that really isn't that big a deal in the scheme of things.

What right are you fighting for? If you feel oppressed, go fight for it instead of randomly bitching to me.

Tell me, are you allowed to vote, marry, buy property, and do pretty much what everyone else can? No one cares about what you have to say because you aren't saying any fukking thing.
