Nah, not quite as misogynistic and not nearly sexist as the men's misc here but you definitely had to have thick skin or a witty mouth/fingers to hang in that section
I can't remember the actual forum name, it was something like... **** no I can't lol. It was back in 2010 and I made a couple innocent mistakes of posting in there thinking that was where you post if you aren't going to talk about running and what not. Upon finding out about it's true reason for existing, I avoided it but anytime I brought up or critiqued some celebrity female in the "safe forum section", some of the roaches from that forum would jump into the Beginners&Beyond forum and call me a whale and that I was jealous of people like Heidi Klum.... yeah.. right.... *rolls eyes*. All because I saw an article about her running and stuff and it looked like it was telling non runners that they too could jump off the couch and run 4-5 miles right out the gate, so I commented about that and got chewed on a bit. There were other instances, but mainly if anybody called one of these roaches out in any other forum other than their nasty corner, loads of these filthy things would just squeeze into the thread and make nasty comments about anybody who had something to say against them lol.
I no longer really post on the RW forums, I will post in "The Loop" though. Back in 2013 or early last year many of us moved to Runningahead.com and started our little group for beginners and veterans and just anybody who liked running but also liked to talk about other things. I tend to like to talk about sex and dirty things like that, but all in good fun. Apparently I posted too much on that topic, and some of us posted too many pics of our legs and asses that we are proud of so a few of the nasty cockroaches that had started their own group on RA.com came into our's and started attacking everyone, especially me - surprisingly many of them were women and not men though, though there were plenty of guys with nasty things to say. I am really hated for some reason lol, but I pretty much let that stuff slide right off my shoulders and don't worry about it anymore.
It's just the internet and not really important, I mean sure you can make great friends on here and be inspired or be an inspiration to others but it's not the real life

The "big" misc is not for the thin skinned. Most of the anti female stuff there is tongue in cheek or just looking for support from the other miscers. They pick on anything and everybody an old manlet, although jacked gets it almost as bad as a female.
They may all bust on ya, but your reps will sky rocket by just posting and rolling with the punches. Once in a while (less often lately) the place is a riot.Semper Fi.
Just play the cards you are dealt and STFU.

When I was lurking back around my join date, I loved coming into the Female Misc. There were several regular guys in here (and some very funny ladies) and there were many entertaining threads...daily. It was not a ghost town.

I like when some guys post in here - the guys that post in the female misc tend to be respectful and cool. I've noticed this in some of the other sections also. You can meet some really great ppl that are helpful and cool to chat with.

I know.. It's terrible. And can make a girl , or anyone feel like crap. That's why you can't take it personally. And anyone that is new to the site should probably stick to this place until they can get a feel for the forums and make it easier to overlook or ignore the negative stuff
