Towns and Okafor combined for 26 vs Frank while he had 41. Their coaches knew better than to try him more. He's shut down everyone for 2 years.
I thought Dekker would be better than him too but he needs a consistent outside shot, Frank has the shifty moves inside and can shoot from anywhere. Dekker hits big shots though, in the state tourney championship game he hits a filthy three in the closing seconds to win by one haha

I don't agree with Deadwood being number one. it is a great show, but the fact that it ended mid-story is a huge let down. Also, the show wasn't nearly as epic as some others. Told a great story and you really got involved with the characters, but other better shows, IMO.

I don't agree with Deadwood being number one. it is a great show, but the fact that it ended mid-story is a huge let down. Also, the show wasn't nearly as epic as some others. Told a great story and you really got involved with the characters, but other better shows, IMO.

I would put both The Wire and The Sopranos ahead of Deadwood. Personally I would go with the Sopranos #1, but could make a decent argument for either if pressed. They are different shows in that one centers upon the strength of a single performance and the other does not. As good as much of the supporting cast is, The Sopranos is quite literally unimaginable without James Gandolfini. Though The Wire is equally well-acted, there is no one single actor without whom the whole thing collapses. The Sopranos also wins on consistency. There really wasn't a "weak" season. And David Chase's continuity of story line and attention to detail is staggering. There are dozens of minor references in the first season that play straight through to the last. The Wire is the better show in terms of having a 'real-life' feel and the credibility of some of the character's portrayals. But the fact is I've watched every episode of Sopranos many, many times, and I'm still discovering things I missed on the first few viewings. It's like good literature.

While all lists like this are purely a matter of personal preference, the main takeaway from it is that the author's taste in TV shows is poor at best.

And it manages to do so through a compelling drama and not by being excessively preachy—it definitely has a viewpoint, but that viewpoint is integrated into the character development and plot.

At the same time, its one of the most tightly scripted shows I've seen. That is, there really isn't any wasted screen time—everything is tightly integrated into the overall narrative. Really enjoy the show.

Ranking True Detective after one season just behind The Sopranos is a joke.

The Sopranos was brilliant for 5 of its 6 1/2 seasons. It only lost its way for a while during 4 and the first half of 6.

I'd say it's a tie with The Wire for #1.

I would put Band of Brothers above Deadwood. The Wire probs at #1 with S1 of True Detectives at #2, then Band of Brothers, then Sopranos. That's my top four.

Game of Thrones was in my top five after S1 but has steadily been working it's way down.

I haven't seen Silicon Valley yet. This week though I did check out the two new shows Ballers and The Brink, really enjoyed both and see great potential. S2E1 of True Detectives I also liked and see good potential, but I think as a show that each season of that will have to be thought of independently. I know Dari was let down but I really liked it.

I'd like to rant about what an absolute f**kwit I am.

Item 1. Spent $40 on wipers from Amazon that said they would fit my car but arrived today and don't fit. Instead I could have spent $7 at Subaru having the correct blades fitted while sitting there scratching my nuts.

Item 2. Went to order a pizza and couldn't find my wallet. Looked around the house then drove to park I'd spent the afternoon at and walked around with a flashlight close to midnight looking like a creep. On the way home it occurred to me that I was not wearing jeans but a pair of MC Hammer sized sweatpants.

Got home, checked the back pocket of my jeans, and there it was. Ordered my pizza an hour later.
