That's only an acceptable choice if your other options are Michael Vick and Dan Orlovsky.

No, he hasn't. He's pretty much always been this bad, it's just that

(a) he hasn't improved;

(b) his O-line has gotten exponentially worse each year;

(c) they lost their RB who was the lynchpin of their offense;

(d) the playcalling has gotten much worse, with fewer of the plays that accentuate his positives and mask his negatives;

(e) they traded their QB guru super-successful head coach for a used car salesman; and

(f) defenses recognize all of this and have long since figured out how to stop him, especially in light of (a).

On the positive side he's got a cannon for an arm and is an incredible athlete.

Even with zero pocket presence and struggling to read a defense they should still be getting more out of him. Obviously they need to fix b, c, d, and e. The sweaty used car salesman isn't helping.

Might be time to accept he's a poor man's Vick and make use of what he's got rather than trying to turn him into a smarter QB which clearly isn't working.
