For the most part, although I'll be doing more transactional work. Before, I was doing mainly securities litigation, white collar defense, and complex commercial litigation (derivative/shareholder disputes, civil RICO claims, breach of contract claims, etc). Now, I'll be doing that plus more advisory opinions and transactions. The split is about 75 lit/25 transactional. And I am way closer to home. I am excite.

I agree. Last season I was having a piss poor season to start. Thought about just bowing out and focusing on my other leagues. But figured, that isn't my style and perhaps I can score some upsets on the contenders. It was a 12 team league with 6 of them making the playoffs.
I ended up on a nice streak towards the end and finished 3rd overall. Funny considering like 5 weeks before the playoffs I was about to quit.
What is M&A?
+ Being close to home will probably end up being one of the nicer aspects of the job once you settle in. Less time on the road / more time with the youngun will be a boon.-

This Is Why NFL Star Greg Hardy Was Arrested For Assaulting His Ex-Girlfriend
Jerry Jones' response:
“While we did not have access to the photos that became public today, we were and are aware of the serious nature of this incident. We as an organization take this very seriously. We do not condone domestic violence. We entered into the agreement with Greg fully understanding that there would be scrutiny and criticism. We have given Greg a second chance. He is a member of our team and someone who is grateful for the opportunity he has been given to move forward with his life and his career.”
Translation: we will continue to hire scum to improve our chances of winning football games.

I don't keep up with any of the specific players/events, just making a general statement. Given that, however...you aren't a Cowboys fan and won't support them anymore right? So ****ing dumb.
The $ is in the fans, but the fans are in for the W's.

lol
Are you seriously going to create an argument because you don't think that a sports team winning is what brings in the fans and their money?
Yeah I'm sure teams like the Patriots are popular and fill their seats while teams like Tampa and Jax are less popular and have empty seats for reasons completely unrelated to on field performance, RE: Wins.

I believe in second chances (within reason) but he got 4 games and only avoided jail time because he paid his victim off. Four games is not long enough to change your attitude. It's like a one week ban for a seasoned troll in this joint.
Pushing a coach and players around in his second game for a new team and making dumb comments about Tom Brady's wife clearly shows the guy hasn't learned a thing. Playing for an owner who DGAF about any of that and only cares about returning to the glory days of the 90s has effectively given him a free pass to continue acting like a POS.

Oh I didn't realize that. Which NFL organizations have been destroyed due to their image?
Even though your little tabloids make it look easy, what if the NFL gets a case wrong, would further enforcement still be the 'right thing' to do? Keep in mind, even highly trained professionals in law and law enforcement get things wrong or make wrongful accusations. Seems like a reckless line to cross for the power hungry like you.DR. 3time

Here's the thing...the NFL could easily make stiffer penalties with less grey area if they truly wanted to, but the NFL is controlled by the team owners (not the fans). And if Jerry Jones (as an example) wants a piece of **** player cause he can tackle good and allows Jerry's team to win more games then the NFL will not do a damn thing above the minimum level of punishment.
Cause the NFL is controlled by the team owners. The owners are there to turn profit off their teams branding and as Farley points out that is driven by fans. And the majority of fans want to support winning teams.
The owners/NFL could drive a lot of the BS out though, if they really wanted to...only reason it doesn't happen is because you'd have to get ALL owners and all league personnel as well as the player's union to fully agree 100% on exactly how they'll punish players for these sort of things. But everyone is a special snowflake in this world so they prefer "judgement" ruling over well defined punishments.▪█─────█▪ Equipment Crew #56 ▪█─────█▪
