I had the exterminator out yesterday and they quoted me a price that I'm just not gonna pay. I can treat myself for about $20 a year. Told him to kiss my ass because I'm not buying him a SCAR to use some $10 spray.

So I got him out of the house and went to the farm supply store and got 3 different kinds of industrial grade spider killer and went full on urban assault on the back of the house.

I just went back to check on the room and apparenyly they tried to evacuate the walls because there are hundreds of dead spiders about 3-4"away from the wall all the way around the room.

I'm gonna give it another treatment, wash all my stuff and then move back in there by the end of the week.

I rented a house in Idaho that was vacant for almost a year before me. Hobo spiders had made the basement their playground. I did some off the shelf sprays, Ortho I think, and a fukton of glue boards. I think glue boards alone solved 80% of the problem. But yeah, F professional exterminators.

Right now there are a bunch of hugely popular veterans pages like "Dysfunctional Veterans," which are god awful and basically serve to reinforce a stereotype of all veterans as violent damaged racist sexist psychos. Half my damn ******** feed is retards I served with reposting dumb chit from these vet pages. Read the article I posted, he's a lot more concise than I am on the topic

I read it. It was very well stated. The military side of my FB Feed is basically all Navy officers or Navy wives who are terrified that ISIS is coming for them. Unless we go to war with Russia or China, I doubt our sailors will ever have the kind of stresses that the ground guys do. I also don't really follow these other vet pages you mentioned, so I'm probably just not seeing the community you (and the author) are commenting on.

Can confirm. The SP-01 mags are known to need stronger springs. Adarus is having problems with his SP-01 having mag issues too.

But yes, CZ makes an unbelievably nice gun, and none of their other guns have mag issues that I'm aware of.

Seriously, the " Hampton Roads SWO Spouses" FB page was lulzy as **** when ISIS said that they published the 20 or so street addresses of some servicemembers. You had some random SWO LtJG's wife panicking about keeping her kids safe. Every time someone posted something along those lines I copy pasta'd something along the lines of:

"If you're really worried, spend $440 at the CGX and get yourself a G19. Spend another $100 and get yourself some hollow points and target ammo. Spend another $100 at a local gun range and get your concealed carry permit and some basic firearms training. Spend $100 and get a quick access gun safe. Spend another $50 or so on a decent holster and carry your gun.

Of course, you're more likely to be killed over your shoes in the United States than you are to be killed by ISIS, so you should probably have already done those things anyway."


I didn't see a single anti-gun post, a couple of people asked me about buying guns at the CGX, and people generally stopped asking about it. Someone is always buying a gun at the CGX when I go in there. Always.
