I try not to give a crap, but I sweat so badly in the gym. I swear they have the temperature set to like 75 or 80 degrees in there, normally if I am working out at home I turn my thermostat to 69 and have to have a fan on me the whole time so at the gym I am sweating pretty noticeably. It is even worse when I run out in the hot humid weather before heading to the gym (I do change clothes, and try to dry off with a towel in between changing).
I am just wondering if other ladies have this problem as well, does it bother you when others are near you and can possibly see the marks, or have you just gotten to the point where you don't give a crap anymore and are more focused on your workout? And do others really even care or notice? I'm just curious, it's a little self-conscious for me as the marks is in the perfect shape of an IUD birth control contraption or even the whole female reproductive anatomy sometimes .....

LMAO regarding the IUD sweat pattern...cause I've left that pattern before.
Most of the time I don't even think about it. I just make sure to clean the bench after I'm finished using it. I haven't had anyone bring it to my attention and I've noticed anyone else's sweat patterns unless they left it on the bench and didn't clean up after themselves.Workout Log / Chat thread...Embrace the Dragon: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=169711903

Lol, I never notice anybody else either. I just finally decided to post about it because this morning I was sweating really bad at the gym after I ran 5.5 miles out in 80 degrees with nearly 90% humidity and I would occasionally look down to see that shape. I do wipe off the bench afterwards as well, sometimes I seriously think about putting a towel on the spot where I sit but I think that would be too obvious lol.

Well I use a towel, but never for the purpose of soaking up sweat. Most of the time it is to make people aware I'm using the equipment if I walk away for a few seconds. The other time is if I do certain abdominal exercises. I sometimes get this suction between the bench/mat and my back that ends up making the sound of a fart when I'm doing that exercises. Having the towel there, eliminates that. LOL.

I don't pay much attention either, but I do try to wipe down the bench after I'm done. Only unpleasant time is a couple of the lifts in current program require me to sit facing the incline bench. My chest is on the bench and my face just above where it ends. It's not pleasant from all the people sweating on them. I do my best not to breathe through my nose most of the time during those lifts and look forward to a program that doesn't incorporate them.

For some reason the staff at my gym doesn't realize that the thermostat needs to be lowered when its extremely humid and hot outside, so I totally feel your pain. Today I did my cardio first so I was sweating bullets throughout my lifting.
Since I'm usually supersetting, I don't really see the sweat marks that I leave until the end of my final set. At that point I just laugh at the funky "art" that I made on the bench as I'm about to clean it with spray.
Honestly I wouldn't be too concerned about it. If anything, you're setting a good example to work hard for the other people in the gym who barely have their heart rates raised by talking with other people, being distracted, etc.

Lol on the image.
I don't know why it bothers me, I guess... to be honest I think it bothers me because I feel almost as if it draws attention to my "girly parts", or maybe it's just me that is aware.... I'm stupid like that. Sometimes I just have to go into the bathroom and wipe as much sweat away as I can, it's just so annoying to sweat so much down there. Luckily the gym's temp isn't always set to like 80 and I don't always sweat that badly, usually it's only during back day.

So I had a decent case of butt sweat today after some supersets and I totally thought of your thread
I find certain fabrics don't show off the sweat as much…but even if it does, you're at the gym. If there is a place for sweat marks the gym would be it!
And Artemis that gif had me rolling…hahahahIG: @addingpins

I definitely notice that, though I can't remember which capris I wore Tuesday..... I have 3 that I wear to the gym interchangeably and they are black but they are each different. One is an Under Armour brand, another is a Nike brand and the other is an Adidas brand. The Nike one is very thin and almost sheer looking so I am always checking to make sure my ass is not showing through.
The Under Armour one is this: https://www.underarmour.com/en-us/wo...pid1243045-021
I don't feel like searching for the other two :P

Those are cute! I hear you on the see through leggings. I beat my gym clothes to death too so I have some that didn't start out see-through but they sure are now. I wear them on days where there will be zero bending over and if I have to I tie my hoodie around my waist. That's another way to hide the sweat too actually!

TBH I am way more self conscious about flashing my butt than having a sweaty butt! Ever since this one time, I didn't know that my yoga pants had reached the point of being see-through and I was doing deadlifts in them. Some creep decided to lay down on the floor a few feet behind me as if to do abs but all he did was lay there and stare at my backside from the low angle. When I realised that when I was at the bottom of the movement you could see my entire ass and thong clearly I nearly died. I have been hyper-conscious of it ever since.

I was once using some equipment and I was sweating like crazy. I got up to go get some paper towel to spray it with the sani spray the gym provides. I left my notebook AND water bottle there indicating I was not done yet. Pretty obvious right? I was gone for no more than 20 seconds. When I got back some woman was on the equipment using it already (not the one that DIDN'T have someones belongings sitting next to it of course but the sweat-soaked one I had just gotten off of) I just grabbed my stuff and let her sit on the sweat-soaked seat. Serves you right for not paying attention!

Wow, yeah it kind of goes without saying..... some people are just clueless. Heck, people at my gym will ask even if it is just the sani spray and cleaning towel on the seat, of course I've yet to meet a rude person at my gym (at the time I go - 5 am) and I have only been going since February 1st this year.

I carry two towels to the gym with me. I had a guy ask me what is the deal with the two towels. I told him one to wipe my face and the other to sit on because I don't think you want to see my sweaty ass prints all over the equipment!
Plus... like Atermis said... I like to leave them so people know I am using the space in case I walk off for a moment**DIRTYSOUTHCREW**
