Maintenance Calories Question?
Just fisnished off the Rippetoe's program and now embarking on The Waterbury Summer Project which i heard was a great program over on the T-Nation boards. My question is with Caloric Maintenance. My understanding is never go below a 500-1000 calories defecit off your maintence (this is food+excercise) or else you will begin to lose muscle. Now here is the question: How often would you recommend re-calculating your caloric maintenance? I would think 1/week as you constantly are losing...your thoughts..
PS The method i use to determine caloric maintenance is weight in pounds x15 ie. 187 x 15 = 2805
