    Simple Supplement Stack

I have been lifting for roughly 5 years now, mostly powerlifting. One thing I have not been consistent with is the supplements that I take. Over the past few months, I have been really focusing on taking my protein (Gold Standard Whey), multi-vitamin (Opti-men), fish oil (Walmart) and pre-workout (SuperPump).

My dosages have been simple (1 scoop protein a day, 1 scoop pre-workout a day, 2 caps multi-vitamin, 2 caps fish oil).

My question to everyone is what would be any other recommended supplements? I am going to start creatine and have been looking into BCAA's or glutamine as well. Also, what kind of dosages?

I am not the greatest when it comes to supplements. I rely more on what I eat, but realize that supplements can aid.

    Thanks.

Sounds like you have the basics covered.

BCAA can be beneficial while on a cut or if you train fasted and spaced between meals 4-6 hours apart. ErgoChain would be a great option if your looking to add a BCAA. It's 5g of BCAA's in a proven 2:1:1 ratio, as well as electrolytes.

I would skip on the glutamine it can be useful for gut health/immune function but that's about it. Creatine is a wise choice, look into just regular creatine mono, Universal, Allmax, ON, all use creapure.

If you have been progressing just fine before then there is no need for any added supplements....

You already have the basics; protein, fish oil, multi and a extra in the pre-workout for energy...only thing I would add would be Creatine if your pre-workout doesn't contain an adequate amount

    .
Get a better Fishoil, a walmart brand will be very low in EPA/DHA i would suggest getting 2-3g EPA/DHA
Get a bulk creatine and dose 3-5g on workout days
Opti-Men and ON are good protien and mutli

Stick to just that, all you will need. Nothing else

    Focus on your diet

Ok. Thanks everyone. My main goal is to get a little bit bigger. I am weighing in at 163 right now and would like to get to around 175-180. Also, strength, but I have been progressing in strength quite well, just not any size being added. Appreciate the help. Looks like just adding the creatine is the general consensus.

Agree with Bob's post. Add creatine and just make sure your diet/nutrition is sound. If you're not adding size, you might be needing to add more calories and make sure you're hitting daily protein req. Are you tracking calories/macros?

Sounds like you have it down for the most part. Youve got protein, multi's, EFA's and PRe covered. Only thing that i would add as a staple (cutting or bulking) would be creatine.
As youve stated, you rely more on what you eat, as you should! A couple supplements i've added recently and am liking a lot are PA (Phosphaditic Acid) and Clear Muscle.

    Good Luck
